It just goes to show what can be taught.....all we need is the time and impetus to do it.

If theres water nearby, its imperative that kids learn to swim. The CHO took swim lessons very early too.....

Our daughter was swimmimng the same way at the age of eighteen months. She always loved the water. At the time, we lived in a town that had a YMCA. They offered swimmimng lessons from age nine months and up. The very first lesson, they had you hold your child by the arms and let go of child into five feet of water. Children are natural born swimmers. They will automatic push back to top of water. As a parent it was terrifying but in the end we were very proud of our young swimmer.
