I don't know that it's Offbeat or Weird, but it is something I would like to discuss or at least write about. I don't have to do it public, but I want to share it for a good number of reasons.
I BELIEVE A GOOD MANY SUFFER the burden of a heavy load (EMOTIONS) for whatever reason. How do 'WE' let it go? IF you decide to post ... Please show some COMPASSION. Thanks in advance.

First of all I give you a <3 for bravely opening this question.
I think those who post the controversial and deepest questions - statements on here - are all artists on the soul level. One has to be devoted to their art/cause to risk ridicule or disbelief. To argue the reasoning behind that stance.
[Exception's of course given to the the inflammatory, troll posts]
Art is based in emotion.
Van Gogh to Poe the greatest of these seems to suffered the most with their emotional burdens. Named demons or depression, without the muse there would be no artists.
Now the question is - it a blessing or a curse?
I did some research -
https://search.yahoo.com/search...

http://www.todaystherapist.net/art-suffering-...
"Everyone has emotional pain, some have less, some have more. Emotional pain is something we all share. What we do with it and what it does with us is the art and the work. Therefore, we are able to relate with emotional experiences to benefit our life. We are moving our life toward a conscious awareness of what the emotional pain is asking of us, as we ask it to go away." - By Steve Lee"

How do you feel about that statement? Would you agree or not?

I know it is a deep subject and it may not be appropriate in this forum. The reason I felt compelled to do this is because I can see some of those that are suffering. I'm sure other's do as well and what I can not tolerate in my own heart is the abuse some are subjected to because of this very obvious weakness (if you will) they display.

I would agree with that Lee quote and I would like a bit more time to look further into the links you have offered before I say more. Thank You very much for your reply.

UNLIKE..Giving Baccccck your Grandkids after an Afternoon at Disney..and Ya FEEL Relieved!!

EMOTIONAL Reminders of a Bad Scene, Pain And Even Joy..Tend to Hang Around..

As if To hold onto do..To Let us Know..we are FRAGILE!!

We may be RUFF and TUFF on the Outside..

BUT..

We Know WHAT will TRIGGER our Memory..and We Try to AVOID gooooing there..

BUT..

It's like HAPPY HOUR....Sometimes..we have too have One too Many..To SHARE our stories...Act a Little Daring..to do so..

AND..
.to say..HELL NO..NEVER AGAIN..AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN..NO WAY..NO HOW..

UNTIL..

Next Time..A FLASHBACK Surfaces..

We just have to CONFRONT These EMOTIONS the Best we Can..

AND..

FINALLY.. As Time Goes By..

They WILL Eventually Fade Away..

BECAUSE..

LIFE'S AN ADVENTURE.. LIVE AND LEARN from IT!!

Did they leave a note?
I'm Sorry ...
When Robin Williams killed himself memories of my older brother swept over me big time. He deliberately did it so his partner would find him two days before Christmas. He put gifts under the tree, including a new pair of work boots for himself.

They say people that talk about IT are just seeking attention and won't do it. I've not studied the statistics, but I know he talked about killing himself for some time before he did it. He didn't want to die, but he was so hopeless. He voluntarily had himself committed for psychiatric care, but he'd been treated for depression before and was on medication.

They used electric shock therapy on him and gave him 16 treatments. I was terrified ... One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest kept playing in my mind. I begged him to pretend he was better and get out of there. The doctors told him he was better. He told me he was not. It was two weeks later he killed himself.

I've been emotionally scarred. After this happened and then my father died shortly after, I came to a point I just didn't want to give a f^&*... about anything anymore. There have been heartless ones that trolled (IRL & out here) me and used this bit of PI to further hurt me. When you don't give a f&*k anymore, nothing hurts you.

Gotta go with the flow. It's pointless to dwell on anything for very long. If you have, then you have likely learned by now that the only one who suffers the most, is you. Life's way too short to brood over anything, no matter how serious the matter may seem. Have a good cry, get it out of your system, sort out your thoughts, then move on and focus on the things that matter most in life. Take time to always smell the roses! Someone said, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift; live in the present."

I appreciate what you are saying here, but ... Well, I managed doing that after my first brother committed suicide and then ten years later, my second brother did the same and the one (3rd) I just mentioned up there did it twenty years after the first. I should have sought counseling long long ago ... because forgetting my past just wasn't in the cards for me. These are only a few of the tragic things I've been scarred by. Apparently I was weak and those that knew me bragged about how strong I was. I was a better actress than I thought and now I can't hide the tears or fake a smile.

I realize now that sometimes the only choice we have is our reaction after something happens that we didn't have a choice in. Folks will say Karma or it our lousy choices that leads us to where we are now. Yeah,... I think we need to be educated on how to cope with life when it is little more than shit. I wonder if the Common Core education helps children learn what I never had a chance to back when.

First, let me say that I'm so sorry for your loss. I too have been through some bad times and have lost some people in my life because of suicide - a high school friend and my niece My SIL had a difficult time dealing with her daughter's untimely death, but she has been getting counseling since and is over the worst and doing well. As Joan Rivers once said "Life can be shitty." Not everyone admired Joan Rivers, but I saw how strong she was when she lost her husband Edgar to suicide. He left her high and dry and was deeply in debt. As she had said, she was broke. She also said she almost ended her own life because of that devastating time in her life. Everyone deals with life's worst situations in different ways and with varying degrees. I personally know that it is not easy, particularly when life keeps giving you blows over and over again. I know that over time, it can desensitize you, it's numbering and eventually can make you a very bitter person That almost happened to me, in fact it did for a while, but then I realized that no one has the time to stop and be miserable with me and I was drowning in my own sorrows. I began to realize that life goes on and it will continue on without me, whether I'm miserable or I'm not. I chose to not be continually unhappy. You have to grab on to whatever happiness you can muster for yourself in this life, because when it's gone, it's gone. Also, you get a new perspective when you focus on something else or someone besides yourself. Believe me, it's true and you will discover that if you embrace each new day and make it the best that it can be, you will enjoy looking forward to tomorrow. Life is a gift - cherish it. You are the keeper of your mind and body and no one can make you unhappy unless you let them. Good luck to you and I wish you the best.
