Just remember, the embargo put on by George Bush and the USA alone killed more than half a million Iraqi children.

Hitler was NOT a Christian. Being born into a Catholic or Christian family, even attending church all your life does not mean that you even understand what truly being a Christian means. Unfortunately, the name has been repeatedly used to justify things that should be to horrific to contemplate. I believe the same could be said for Islam. Anyone can take an idea, and use it to justify evil acts. My family was Christian during WW2 and because of their beliefs worked to oppose the Nazis in the underground because they were not gullible enough to believe a lie, and their conscience would not allow them to do nothing.

Actually, he was born a Christian and baptised under his mother's name. You believe your opinions are fact, but in reality, they are in error. I've got news for you - being brought up a Christian is a pre-requisite for the priesthood in many faiths. I wasn't justifying his actions - I merely stated a fact. Christians are the biggest group of hypocrites the world has ever seen - and it started when they rewrote the Hebrew bible to suit their own twisted beliefs.

My point is that what you are born into has no bearing on later actions if it is not followed. It isn't an opinion - I did include a link. I don't know what the priesthood has to do with it, but Christianity IS a faith, and I know of no denomination that does not fully accept converts in any capacity of service, although I admit I know little of Catholic teachings.
As far as hypocrites goes, tell that to members of my family, like my great uncle that I never got to meet because he lost his life for what he believed. He lost it only because he wanted to see his new wife and their first child, and he knew the Nazis had his name. You may talk about hypocrisy when you have faith enough in something to die to protect the lives of others. I'm not talking about faith that tells you to kill. I'm talking about faith that moves you to sacrifice.

I've told priests and reverends that same thing - Christians are hypocrites. And you want to know the real kicker? They know they're hypocrites.

So in your opinion, unless you are born a Christian, you are not considered a Christian? Isn't that a little like the Germans and their "supreme race?" It would seem that that in itself would be mosr than a little hypocritical, IMHO.

That is absolutely wrong. You are not a Christian just because you are born one. It is an individual choice. You make the choices for your life, and only you know who you are. That's the point. It doesn't matter if your parents decided to baptize you. That is just their publicly stated intention to raise you in the faith. When you are an adult, you make the choice to accept or reject it. Many people are born into a Christian family and choose to leave it, and many people are not raised in a faith, but choose to adopt one. Many of the most devout Christians are converts.
How on earth did I say that you had to be born a Christian? If anything the opposite. Lots of people call themselves Christian without any idea what that means besides baptism, marriage, and funeral arrangements. Those are the people who call themselves Christian just because of some hereditary link.

That is absolutely absurd and obscene

even pose such a statement.
