Snacks are for fat lazy people. I never snack because I am sexy and fit.

It is outrageous. They do NOT let you bring in your own snacks and they charge you very high prices at the concession stand.

I take my grandchildren to 7/11 to buy snacks that I can fit in my purse. I buy 1 large drink at the concession stand for us all to share. We go to matinee shows to save a bit of money. All the tickets are the same price at matinee shows.

Hmmm. Middle Island is named that since it is between two cemeteries.

Post your picture to prove you are sexy & fit, even if your name isn't.

Man, when I was a kid, eating frozen milkshakes, milk duds, and goobers and raisonettes, at the Saturday matinee double feature, was 60% of my weekly diet.
Loved them all...

Now of course I'm an overweight, semi toothless acne scarred geezer.., but with great confectionary memories.

my wife & I do the same thing, but the feeling I have when she's getting the "stuff" out of her purse is priceless....there's pride because we're saving money, and fear because I'm always waiting for the usher to walk by and bust us!

Well truly, movie snacks are expensive fat pills.., etc.
But gotta say that from an entertainment perspective, good film in a good theatre can be the best and most affordable entertainment there is.

I can remember my father dropping me & some friends at the theatre to spend the day. There would be a double feature, a cartoon, a travelog and a newsreel. We'd be there for about 4 hours. Great way to spend a rainy Saturday or Sunday.

You could buy a king size candy bar that was big enough to share with your friends for about $.60. Regular candy bars were either a nickle or a dime. Now they are at least $.79. Everyone would bring something different to share.

Last week I drove up to Jensen Beach to visit a friend that I met when I was 9 years old, she just turned 60. I will turn 60 next month. We were reminiscing about this very subject, amongst others.
