I wish that were true but you 'can' change how much power you are giving to 'that' situation. xo

Actually....LOL....tonight the bf and I are going to Costco! Hopefully a quiet night. If he gets a lot of company I think I will retreat to my house. He wants to take me out to dinner on Saturday and I am looking forward to that. I should be getting more stuff done around my house and hopefully Sunday I will get some things accomplished....my teenagers will be gone all weekend so this might work for me! I hate cleaning when they are there.

If I could change one thing about my life what would it be???? Hmmmmmm..........
Well I wish I could go back to when I was 16 and was living with my grandparents. I would have stayed there until the end of time instead of moving out when I was 18. And I would have shown more respect for my grandparents instead of acting like a spoiled little brat at times.(it was grandpas fault that I was spoiled though) lol

I don't know that I would have changed a thing. Maybe researched career choices (how cool to be an international journalist or a Disney imagineer or something!) but all in all, I'm pretty happy with my life. Not all aspects, sure, but what I've endured and how are all components of who I am today. I've lived through a couple of incidents that should have left me dead, which adds an interesting perpective to Life. The losses I've suffered have somehow only made me appreciate who and what is left.

Part of me would love to have known then what I know now, but then, what would have I done differently that would have "spared" me the lessons that I learned? Would I have dated the neanderthal that burnt me with cigarettes? Or gotten into the car that almost did a "Thelma & Louise"? Probably effin' NOT! LOL

I've had a brutal Friday, Friends and Others. I'm going to swing by the daiquiri stand on my way home and pick up a 32-oz "troublemaker".

Much love to you guys ... I will be thinking about most of you this weekend :)

Well, you can't rewind your life but you can learn from your mistakes and make changes in the future so tht's where I'm at right now. Most of the things I regret the most are things I didn't do rather than things I wish I hadn't done. I guess I'd dare myself more often.

IF I could change one thing I guess it would be to stay in the career I was in when I was 25. ALmsot everything else would have changed for the better as a result.

Mine would be about people..

To carry out a promise ...

I remember an elderly aunt whom I was close to, when the children were smaller, I was intending to bring them to visit her, she had requested this a few times. I, however, was busy with various distractions, the week I chose to set out on the journey, two day before the planned date, I got word she died suddenly. I always regretted it...if I could undo it, I'd go immediately she asked...

I would be more measured now in dealing with people...

Sometimes, if you carry on an argument with someone or, perhaps, say something sharp... in the heat of he moment ... when it comes full circle, and should that person die before you, it is certain that, at the funeral, the one 'sharp' word you gave them... or the one tiny argument you had, will come to haunt you.. and you will see it all with great clarity..''why wasn't I a little more tolerant'' etc, it is like looking at it from inside out.. a learning experience...I would change that too... but like that great spiritual quote >

'Help me to accept the things I cannot change, change the things I can...
and the wisdom to know the difference...''

Everyone has regrets and guilt feelings in life when it comes to our relationships with other people. It is the not knowing when we will lose someone that should make us more tolerant and kinder in our actions and deeds, but because we dont sit and dwell on each second that goes by that leads us to the end of our journey, we put off that visit in place of something else, or the phone call we should make, or the flowers we should take, or the cake we should bake, or the visit long overdue, so if this is another day that goes by when you "CANT," make sure you HUG a loved one today and say "I Love You," because who knows???????

Yes Jt,
Well said, but I think it that happens naturally anyway.. You instinctively get a good or bad 'feel'
feel about your intended actions..
Just as well!! that there's an internal controlling system ha ha!

for me anyhow!!
