too bad , seems to me when the shit is on the line all of the US's military acts with the same passion regardless of service branch ... it states Independence Day not the day of the Navy....
to have pride in your service is great , but to condemn just one uniform is welllllllllllllll...
Relax, I'm not the enemy.

It was a joke - one that we always laugh about.

LOL tallyho

Look guys, I agree with all of you and none of you...

as long as she can carry one of you out of a fight without a problem, lock and load, shoot as good as the rest.. I think she should go..

My question to you guys is, IF she is able to perform like so, will it be a weakness to you, her gender if something happens or will/do you see her as another soldier?

As I said, I could care less what sex my wingman is - as long as we make it back it's all good. Trust is the issue - and that would be long past when I trust someone with my life.

no one is downgrading a female .... but females that can haul a 250 lb male around are very rare , even a male has a hell of a time with that ....

many a male has limitations ... my only point was to this conversation is walk through any military cemetery , you will notion no separation of service/rank/religion/race

Good for you. Do you feel all better now? It seems you can not make up your mind for or against women on the front lines....the question at hand.
Do you clean your guns when you are drunk like this?
Didn't mean to be nasty,it is just that your post was so pie in the sky about the world being better off with women in charge that it was so much huwie considering past women rulers of nations. As far as women in infantry units I am not in favor of it. For a myriad of reasons most of which have been noted numerous times. It seems the women who comment in favor of such a move are doing so motivated by emotion and a sense of feminism that they can do EVERYTHING men can do. Well, you can't. You can in most respects, and possibly do better than many men. But sustained, close and personal, down and dirty infantry combat will pretty much always be a man's game until future uninvented equipment comes along that will somehow increase the stamina factor for female troops.

FYI: Guns and alcohol don't mix.... Even cleaning them.

First of all - the modern "foot" soldier is a misnomer. They ride.
Secondly, by "attempting" to prove your point by examining your own career shortcomings is lame - really lame. Men drive companies into the ground all the time - sh*tty corporate executives are not gender specific. Lastly, don't do a Rmoney flip-flop and start agreeing with my sites - find your own.
Do us a favor.... Get a blank sheet of paper and pencil.... Got 'em?Good. Now,lay the paper flat on a table. Take the pencil and put a real small dark dot in the middle of the pater...... Put the pencil down, you're done with it. Now pick up the paper. See the little dark spot? THAT is what you know about the military, war, and anything related to it. The REST of the paper is what we veterans who have served in war and peace/training for war know about the subject. Put your oversized case of femenism on the back burner and face facts that while women can CAPABLY do the same jobs men can do 95% of the time there are things you just can't. You can use rhetoric and what if tales all you want,it won't change what your physiology is.
