You know, he might just be a good man if he had the cajones to stand up to the extreme right wing that's trying to run the GOP. He was a moderate in Mass. But he can't BE that guy anymore. I think that's why he doesn't present well - we all would if we had to stand up and pretend to be someone we really aren't. He's turned into a "political ambulance chaser." He still has yet to provide a viable foreign policy - one that doesn't include the phrase "and peace for all." He's in waaaaaay over his head, IMO.
THAT said, you cannot excuse the attitude with which he delivered these comments. He misspoke, clearly - just like Obama when he said "you didn't build it" but he can't recall it now. And how he phrased what he said clearly shows an arrogance unbecoming in a presidential candidate.
