Yes, guns at home but, no ammunition because the 300 gun deaths a year were a problem. So, it's like Reagan sending Marines to Beirut with rifles but no ammo.

How hard do you think it is to buy ammo? The Swiss stopped providing ammo for storage at home. The lack of guns and ammo allowed the mass shooting by the terrorist on the army base in Texas. No one could shoot back

Hi Nancy,

I think he meant the ones that were getting shot at. The MP's came with weapons but the regular military can carry weapons on base except to go to the firing range.

Hi Mr E..That's NOT what Denny said. Why not let Denny explain himself?

Yes, the fact that regular military cannot carry weapons on base raises another question. There are check points upon entering a military base...how did Hasan get his weapons on to the base without being detected?

The media is biased and. Pres O is going after the 2nd Amendment and wants to blame guns for deaths.

What about gangs, violent movies, violent video games, fatherless homes, poverty?

Ya, it's not working and YOU'RE paying for it. Perhaps it's time for America it change it's tactics...except the bankers are making too much money.
How a big US bank laundered billions from Mexico's murderous drug gangs
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/apr/03/u...
BTW..ya know how drugs get into prisons? LOL ONE GUESS!(Hint: It ain't the visitors)
You have a lot of different factors packed
into one post.

America does need to change the way it thinks.
About many things.

CEO of companies (banks included) do not need
to make a 400% profit. It's obscene.

Drugs into prisons.....? Mostly guards
and support staff.

I guess I answered because I knew the facts being in the military and having read a lot about this situation. I didn't really think that Denny would lie about it. So I answered.

Sorry...you're probably right I should've just let him answer.

I don't know how he got it in, other than when I was in, all you had to have was a sticker on your car window, and the MPs normally just waved you on. So he could have easily brought weapons on base.

Except Hasan was under FBI investigation for his expressed radical views and his correspondence with Yemeni terror leader, Anwar al-Awlaki.

One would think he would have been under surveillance with that kind of connection. The security at the base just waved him though?

It was just a guess on my part from the things I experienced. The MPs at the gate wouldn't actually even know who the person was. They see the sticker and wave you in.

CID or FBI, that would be a different thing altogether.

The FBI obviously wasn't on top of it too much because he DID have weapons and was free to kill..before anyone showed up....

There had been MANY reports that Hasan was not only expressing terrorist views but also that he was mentally unhinged. So, if the MP's just let anyone though the base gate, what the hell good are they? Once again....THEY KNEW WHO THIS GUY WAS! I'd say the MP's need to be retained and have better communication with the investigating agency.

He was an officer and has a sticker on his car so he just drove through as anyone does with a base sticker. Plus they saluted him

Connecticut has tough gun laws and assault weapons are banned. I just saw the Democrat idiot congress man from that stae wanting a law that you have to have a background check to buy ammo. He said people could walk in Walmart and just fill up the cart with ammo. SO WHAT! He also wants to outlaw incendiary ammo. I don't know of any who shoot tracers.

LOL Obama claimed it wasn't a terrorist act just a work place incident. That kept the wounded from a purple heart and those that were killed from having their family compensated. Obama sucks. Just like his lie about Libya and the deaths caused by a video and not a planned terrorist attack
