I agree with Colin Powell that gun control is clearly written into the 2A with the words "well-regulated (militia)".

IDK what part of "well-regulated" do these people not understand.

It's very simple: regulation = control.

That is not the issue. No one ever said they were going to ban ALL firearms or guns - putting restrictions on assault weapons would not infringe on your right to own a gun. You're unfairly generalizing your comments to build a one-sided debate. I've already spoken my peace on Chicago - the most mismanaged city in America, with the second largest police force.
As far as banning anything, let's use tobacco, ok? Back in the 70's they took away advertisement rights from tobacco companies - for good reason - lung cancer was the leading cause of death in the US at the time. Lung cancer still remains in the top ten, however it has been overtaken by heart desease and diabetes. Banning assault weapons would not end the violence, but I for one would think my chances are a lot better in a gunfight with my handgun versus another handgun instead of versus an AK. See my point?
I'm not looking to take away your weapons - on the contrary - I actually want you to buy more, a lot more - and I want the governemnt to increase the taxes on any ammunition or guns by 300-500%. Then and only then will we be able to afford to pay for armed guards in my grandson's school the NRA so proudly suggested.
My point is that by taking away my legal right to possess, own, use, carry a semi-automatic weapon, only leaves me less able to protect me and mine from the criminals, who will not obey the law and will in fact be more inclined to illegally possess, carry AND use a semi automatic weapon against me and all the law abiding sheep. The ban will not eliminate or even slow down the use of semi automatic weapons in the commission of a crime, it will only eliminate the proper use of a semi automatic weapon by the law abiding citizenry.

I think the government should 1st worry about getting the fully automatic weapons they sold
the 'mexican drug cartel' back before they think about taking ours away-'i' want to be able to fight-fire-with-fire!

"If you constantly convince yourself that life will never get any better, the view will never change from the beach from which you stand."

Again, don't ban anything - tax the living f*ck out of all ammunition and firearms.

I've added my 2 cents worth.

Reading Conservative propaganda on a public forum will always change my point of view - said no one ever.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Posting pro-gun propaganda on a public forum is actually as useful as tits on a bull.

And btw - drunk drivers actually do cost you more than you know - auto insurance premiums never go down. So in a bizarre way, yes they do make it tougher for sober people to own cars - whoever that is.

Still deflecting and now bringing in personal attacks as usual. Whats the matter judge, no case law to back up your weak argument. Whats the matter judge, no opinion of your own on the post concerning reason versus force. Or do you need to consult the OPINIONS of the supreme Court clowns in order to have an opinion.

Yes, sober driving is the opposite of drunk driving. Brilliant deduction your honor. LOL
Next question, or do you need to consult the supreme court first.

Yes as long as they are not in the ghetto. The libtard media thinks they can stir up the sheeple enough to achieve one of their long held goals. But it's a dead issue. It will never get through Congress. Give it a day or two and they will be off on the hunt of the next big story.

Yeah, that is exactly what the NRA is hoping for - the dust to settle.

Fat chance - the price of guns and ammunition is already through the roof, if you can find them.

Another school shooting in Houston today.

It just gets better and better, doesn't it?

ok, I'll bite. Are shootings getting more publicity than usual.
Yes, in my OPINION, I have no statistics to back it up, that is why it is my opinion and only my opinion. That being said, my reasoning is as follows. The media wh@res need revenue to increase their profits. They need revenue to keep their jobs. The increase in revenue will occur when they have a sensational story to "report". They will "report" ad nauseam in order to garner more viewers and therefore more time for their advertisers, thus more profits. The do not care if their story is accurate, or if it is even strictly news. As long as they are first with the "breaking" news. They will "report" any rumor, any supposed fact, any salacious tidbit. They will trample on peoples grief, ambush children with their microphones and opine on the latest tragedy with a gleam in their eye. As long as they can keep the ratings up and therefore the ad revenue rolling in, they will editorialize and call it news, they will use weighted words to create a false image to sway the public. They will pander to the lowest denominator of the public and feed the fears of the uneducated masses. They will have updates and interrupt other programing to tell you nothing new, just to regurgitate the same information in as many and varied ways as possible, so that they can keep their faces on camera and your eyes glued to the screen.
I await your reply eagerly. Just remember to stay on topic and not to make any errors, or baseless accusations, or personal attacks.

From what I heard it was gang related so it will disappear quickly. I may be wrong however. The gun issue is dead. Harry Reid has said he will not bring anything up to vote that won't pass the house. It's done. Get over it.
