Your argument hold no water...AT ALL

He was an officer UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR HAVING TERROR CONNECTIONS!

There is NO EXCUSE for what happened. It could have been avoided...

True, I thought I had some insight on the matter or I wouldn't have posted.

Appreciate your comment.:)

What experience is that? He was in the military? That, in and of itself, has NOTHING to do with this conversation. I didn't google a data base. I had a conversation with someone who was in the military for 10 years. You shouldn't SPECULATE about my sources of information nor should you try to make research sound cheesy. I haven't been wrong about a thing.

Maybe you should read you own link! He was not under investigation before the shooting. They had seen his e mail but did not follow up with an investigation.

Well the FBI did not call it an investigation so how could the military know when the FBI held no investigation. The link you post shows the FBI fell short and screwed up by not investigating him

Ohh, and you don't know shyt about how a base is run, or how the military interacts with the civilian intelligence agencies are forced to interact. But..you can try to act in the know, should you chose that direction. Maybe you should use that last mobile shout out now.

It's called treatment and harm reduction. Addiction is a MEDICAL PROBLEM.
Swiss drug addicts given free heroin
..."Dr Christoph Buerki runs the Berne clinic. He has around 200 clients and says the program is good for addicts and for society.
"Once a patient enters our treatment he would very much to a large degree - and the statistics have proven that - would reduce his illegal activities," he said.
"So that's one very, very important point also for society."

Portugal Decriminalized All Drugs Eleven Years Ago And The Results Are Staggering
..."The resulting effect: a drastic reduction in addicts, with Portuguese officials and reports highlighting that this number, at 100,000 before the new policy was enacted, has been halved in the following ten years. Portugal's drug usage rates are now among the lowest of EU member states, according to the same report.
One more outcome: a lot less sick people. Drug related diseases including STDs and overdoses have been reduced even more than usage rates, which experts believe is the result of the government offering treatment with no threat of legal ramifications to addicts."

are you forgetting a minor detail .......... like the idea behind our 2nd , that we no longer need

The Military of Switzerland perform the roles of Switzerland's militia and regular army. Under the country's militia system, professional soldiers constitute about 5 percent of military personnel; the rest are male citizen conscripts 19 to 34 (in some cases up to 50) years old. Because of a long history of neutrality, the army does not take part in armed conflicts in other countries, but takes part in peacekeeping missions around the world.

The structure of the Swiss militia system stipulates that the soldiers keep their own personal equipment, including all personally assigned weapons, at home (until 2007 this also included ammunition[3]). Compulsory military service concerns all male Swiss citizens,

Hi Mr E..That's NOT what Denny said. Why not let Denny explain himself?
Yes, the fact that regular military cannot carry weapons on base raises another question. There are check points upon entering a military base...how did Hasan get his weapons on to the base without being detected?
INFO:
on military bases may own and use guns, but they can't carry them around whenever or wherever they want. Every gun must be registered with the base's provost marshal—the equivalent of their chief of police—and stored in the armory. If they want to use the gun, whether for a military exercise, for leisure time at the on-base shooting range, or for off-base use, they have to check it out from the armory and return it immediately when they're done.
