I can extract square root by dividing:
The square root of 144
mark off in groups of 2 from the right 1^44
Largest square in 1 is 1 ( 1st part of answer )
Double answer and divide into first 4 goes 2 times
write it after the 2.. the 1 you doubled.
22 into 44 goes how many times "2" ( 2nd part of answer )
Final answer = 12

My father taught me this - I taught my college math teacher, Really!

The square root of 4624:
groups of 2 from the right 46^24
Largest square in 46 is 6
place this above the 46
double it-12-and place before the remainder 10
bring down next 2 digits 24
take 12 into 102 = 8
place the 8 over the 24 as last digit of answer
and after the 12 you divided by > 128

128 goes into 1024 ~ 8 times
Answer 68
Proof 68x68=4624

It was broken down once by some 'scientists' according to the minerals, etc in our bodies,it came to something like $18.36. So with inflation we could probably round it off to around $20 today.

Finding the circumference or diameter of a circle
That was an unexpected answer, but it works out..

After all, 2 pi's divided by 2 pies would be one.

New question...

I can run the 4 minute mile (wishful thinking). Job interview is in 20 minutes. Should I wait for the bus or should I bust the move?
