NOTHING smells better than onions frying in bacon grease ...I overheard my sugar talkin on the phone the other night with an old friend...he was tellin him bout me..."she's a good girl and a good cook. she even keeps bacon grease in a can on the stove just like Grandma did." ...=)))
My mom kept the bacon grease in jar on the stove, I haven't thought of that in years. Brought a tear to my eye, thanks for the memory!

I don't think it's much of a recipe, but I will be glad to share.
Quater a medium onion in slow cooker
Season a pork roast , with salt, black pepper ( and a little garlic powder, if you want) place in cooker. Pour about a cup of water over, cover and cook on high about six hours .
Pork should be so tender it falls apart. I pull it apart and pour a bottle of BBQ sauce over it cover and cook a half hour longer.
It's very simple but good and something different
