So, the corned beef was WAY too salty....and I didn't even season....maybe should have rinsed the kraut, but don't think that would've helped much.
Family is coming over tomorrow (today) and husband is doing a ham....he does the BEST ham....pours a can of 7-up over it, covers, and bakes. He always uses semi-boneless. He says you have to have some bone or you lose a lot of flavor.....It's always delicious!
How does everyone else prepare ham?
Sounds like something I might try, delicioso! I bake ham usually, plenty of honey, pineapple juice and sea salt on the fatty side up, served with pineapple rings and fresh cherries.

Sounds scrumptous....sweet & sour flavor...love it!

The left over ham was good with the potatoes au gratin. And we have the meaty bone frozen for either bean soup or fresh green beans, ham and baby red taters. One reason I would sacrifice the sweet and sour ham flavoring, as the left overs wouldn't go well with the bean soups. We always try to use everything and waste no part of a cut of meat, but it doesn't always work out that way.

I would like to try your ham recipe, though....and soon! Thanks!

Yum! I love pea and ham soup. You can control how much of the ham is sweet by the depth of holes you prick into it, I just pour half a can of pineapple juice on the outside of the ham the salt and honey rubbed on top makes it look pretty but left overs are rarely sweet. I'll pm the recipe, such as it is, if you like :)
