...baked crappie fillets (caught 6 crappie this morning and got 8 lbs of fillets. I'll remember THAT spot), broccoli casserole, guacamole salad, and some really decent dark chocolate for dessert...

homemade beef soup. in it is carne meat, red beans,peas, carrots, homegrown sage, wild rice. to thicken it up. some potatoe flakes.
been cooking in the crockpot since yesterday morning.

hmm... I'm in a strange mood so to he that understands.. join me in the looney bin...

pork seasoned with saffron and curry, pepper, minced onions with a bit of rice and rolled in grape leaves

oven baked veggies with butter and lightly salted, sea please =)

when I go fishing. I tend to simple dress them. as in just scale or skin them(depending on the type of fish), gut them, behead, and remove top and bottom fins. the tail fin stays on.
you keep more meat than filleting the fish. plus the bones add to the flavour of the fish as it is cooked.

I used to do that, too. But it is so rare I actually keep fish, I'm happy with fillets. And these were primo...usually don't see crappie like this 'cept in the Spring, filled with roe sacs.
