Today is the day to worship the woman who could not keep her legs together, who refused to get an abortion, and who abused, micromanaged, emasculated, and enslaved you for 17-18 years.

I'm truly sorry you feel that way.
The vast majority of mothers devote their lives to loving, nurturing, and worrying about their children until drawing the last breath of life.
I hope you find the strength to forgive.

Not all moms are like that. Sorry yours was so bad, PG. I was fortunate to have a good mom. She wasn't perfect by any means, but then kids don't come with instructions either. There comes a point when an adult has to stand on his own two feet and stop blaming everything bad in his life on his parents.

When I became an adult I gained independence and the freedom to do things differently. I did not have to be tied to the way I was raised. Yes, it has influence, but as an adult you can decide how much you will let it affect you and how much of it you will carry as baggage and how much to reject. I only have myself to blame for the way I am now.

http://www.slideshare.net/jeanabailey/could-h... -been - This was my sister we grew up in mostly abusive foster homes. She was beat and then stabbed over 52 times with a screw driver infront of her 4 kids. Her last words was (how are my kids) and (dont let them see me like this) she was a mom first.

I'm sorry about your sister. It was a fine tribute to her. You and her kids must miss her terribly.

Purple Gurl, however, seems to have major mommy issues.

I say any woman who has had a child, has done an immeasurable wrong to that child by forcing them to exist. They wrenched us from the bliss of nonexistence, and stuffed us into this world! Onto this Earth, they made us live and exist. And (unless the atheists are right and I don't think they are) there is nothing we can do about it, because being dead is not the same as nonexistence. Even death is not an escape! It's just a doorway into "whatever comes next". Oh if only they could have kept their legs together, said they have a headache, any number of things get on birth control get your tubes tied at age 13 or only be with men that had vasectomies anything to keep from creating life! Now I'm going to go visit my favorite website VHEMT DOT ORG

You must still be in your twenties. Come to terms with your life. It will help.

Where did I mention me anywhere? I obviously wasn't referring to me. Girls cannot be "emasculated." I started this thread 2 years ago for the 70% of society who is abused. It was to start a conversation and raise awareness to an issue, nothing more. The 70% develop Stockholm Syndrome and codependency and take up for the very abuser who shat them out. Most parents don't have children to love them, but to have slaves to control, or because they were too stupid to use protection or avoid sex. If you feel like having children to have someone to control, get a puppy.

My life is not the topic of this thread and 20's are ancient history.

Yep, it is that time of year again. Time to worship the main child abuser in any child's life. Time to celebrate the hoes who couldn't keep their legs together or their hands and mouth to themselves. All you have to do if defecate a baby and the whole world worships you and expects your crotch droppings to do so too, no matter how many times you beat them or make them feel like nothing.

Yes its Mothers Day and as you see it a day to hang your head in shame. Thats really sad for you.
I lost my parents at a very young age and grew up with out them. I did not have the things many take for granted and missed out on things that shape little girls in to women. My Grandpa raised me and did the best job he knew how to do.
He never had tea party's with me, played dress up with me, shared secrets with me, baked cookies or so many other things Mothers do with their kids.
Grandpa made sure I was educated, had manners, worked hard for what I got and reminded that no matter what life handed me I was loved.

I have 5 wonderful handsome boys and could never begin to think how my life would be with out them. They know the hardships I went through, and that they were all wanted and are so Loved. They have siblings to keep them company and are all close.
I would lay down my life for any one or all of them. I know they would do the same to protect me as well.

Mothers Day is not about keeping some one down or being a burden. Its about the Person who chose to give you life. LIFE is what you get out of it when you work to make it a good one. Feeling sorry for being born is just not right. Lift your head and be proud to be here go forward and do every thing people tell you you can't do.
Be better than the person who gave you life and pass it on to another should you choose to allow a life to be born.

I think every year what my Mother would have been like. What would she think of me all grown up and with children of my own now.
I knew her for 3 short years and don't remember much about her but I know that she loved me enough to give me life and for that I am greatful.
