I also had a 'car carrier'(not pictured), red long nosed truck, yellow trailer with 6 Nash Rambler convertibles on it.
I still have these toys 63 years later-in usable condition.
Does that say anything about the way things use-to-be made?



Kids were made a little different back then,

do the doors and hood and all open on the Nash's, probilly see sparkplug wires too,..lol

...i also enjoyed my heavy gauge METAL beat-the-hell-out-of-them-and- they-will-be-fine Tonka Toys...in fact, my nieces and nephews got mine, and now their kids are playing with them....not much paint left on them anymore, tho.....

cant remember any particular fav, dolls- one named Judy & hand made cradle, stuffed animals, piano then electric organ, tea set, MAYBE Tinker Toys were my fav...but playing outside was the best...made the prettiest mudpies you ever saw...would decorate em with Mama's flowers =)))

I loved my pump action air rifle. It would only make a loud noise but if you jammed the barrel into dogshit you could blast your friends in the face.

we used to shoot kitchen matches , put them in the barrel shoot at a wall or skip off the road,
