LOL. Oh what? What a surprise. Nice going doc.

Does it seem as if there has been a general drop in medical ethics in the last few years what with grandmother aged new moms and puppy litter octomoms?

I think that the mother was very selfish.True you never know when your gonna die but to have young children at this age is just insane. Even if she hadn't died would she have had the energy to take care of these twins for all their childhood/teenage years ..I bet not. She would have been close to 90 by the time they graduated. The children would of ended up being the caretakers of this woman most likely and not having a childhood of their own.
now you just pucker up

This is so sad. Just because you can do something, does not mean that you should and that goes for older men who have children too. A parent can die at any age, but the odds are a hell of a lot higher for someone over 50. Not only have these babies lost their mom, but now they are orphans too. She was not a mom sooner because sometimes that is just how life works out.

Maybe she's Catholic, and against using condoms and birth control.

That's true, I mean she lived a whole life. They will have many things to treasure from her life. She knew she had cancer too, so maybe she out together something for them incase.

You're right but there are a lot of assholes on this site. People in this forum have made jokes about dead children, so nothing they say surprises me. As far as these twins go, they wouldn't exist if it weren't for their mother. Plain and simple. It can be debated by the most brilliant of minds but that's what it all comes down to. A life without their mother or no life at all.

To me, it was selfish. The kids may have brought joy to her last years but they will suffer because they don't have her. Why don't people THINK of this before doing it?

At 66 years of age, birth control would not have been an issue for her to have to deal with.

Just because you can have babies at that age doesn't mean you should have babies at that age.

And I thought 42 was too old for my last son. My heart goes to the children, I lost my mother when I was 45 and life hasn't been the same since. God keep those children happy and loved...

Yea, there sure are some real winners on Topix. People think it is okay to say anything on here. Then they probably are man handleded by thier wives in real life and mousey, math teachers or something...

Anyways, this is too sad. If I heard of this and had donated my goods, I would be worried they could be mine and feel like I had to do something...

I think or maybe more so hope that the kids will be fine....that they will appreciate the gift thier mother gave and enjoy life as she would have wanted them too. There is never a good time to lose a parent, ever.
