Thank God there are those in congress who will defend the constitution and the second amendment even if they were Democrats :)

Are you that f'ing terrified of guns such that this is all you can ever talk about? Do you wake up, shaking, thinking that you are going to get gunned down heading to the job site? I don't know why this is so important to you? The law would have done almost nothing to have stopped massacres. They are so remote and far between too, such that it is not worth weakening our constitutional rights just so maroons (like that M69) like you can sleep at night without pissing your pants.

With research conducted by the Sunlight Foundation, The Guardian reported on the donations from the NRA and other pro-gun organizations over the last couple of decades. The NRA alone had given $800,000 to the Senators who helped nix the bill.

First of all stop showing your age - either that or buy a Thesarus - maroon is getting a little old - and if you don't know the meaning of a word, then ask first.
Maroon - noun,(often initial capital letter) any of a group of blacks, descended from fugitive slaves of the 17th and 18th centuries, living in the West Indies and Guiana, especially in mountainous areas.
Secondly, I was fighting and protecting your rights well before you were sh*tting yellow.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHA
ok gramps, I was showing my age. that particular phrase is one used in cartoons created in the early 1930's. So tell me gramps, just how old are you. I hear you just became a gramps. I on the other hand have been one for well over a decade. So, toddle on back to the sand box and when you have something relevant to contribute, maybe the adults will let you participate, if you ask nicely.

That's $800,000 this year you twit.

Among the top NRA recipients are Roy Blunt (Missouri) with $60,550 and Saxby Chambliss (Georgia) with $56,950. Fellow Republican Senators John Thune (South Dakota), Lindsey Graham (South Carolina) and Jim Inhofe (Oklahoma) have each received well over $40,000 apiece, as well.

You mean the $31 million he received?

Republican Gov. Scott Walker has raised about $31 million since he took office 17 months ago, including a remarkable $5.9 million in the last five weeks reported to Wisconsin regulators Tuesday.

The first-term Republican reported his latest donations a week before he faces Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett in a recall election that is also a rematch of the 2010 governor's race. The state elections board predicted Tuesday that turnout would be between 60 percent and 65 percent, nearing levels normally seen in a presidential election.

First of all, you are posting on the correct thread - anything with the word coward suits your style. Secondly, I don't live a life of paranoia like GOP Nation. Regardless of what you may or may not believe, to which I could really care less, this bill was defeated with the NRA's money, not the American voice.

That's democracy for you.

We aren't a democracy, genius. We are a republic. Do you even understand the difference between the two?

Obamacare wasn't passed with the American voice either. I bet you were really upset about that, weren't you? Hypocrite.

Is this American voice you speak of the same voice that wants to grant Amnesty and give 10-20 million illegal immigrants free Obamacare. Is this the same American voice who is completely ignorant of the costs this would impose on our welfare programs? People like you, who fail to appreciate the notion of cause and effect.

Have you two knuckleheads ever thought what a third rate nation this country would be if your values were enshrined into our constitution? Yeah, we'd be the land of the free ... meaning you come here and you get a bunch of shyte for free.

You don't value hard work. You don't value personal accountability. You don't value wise decision making. You don't value the protestant work ethic that this nation was founded upon and which allowed this nation to go from nothing to becoming, once upon a time, the greatest nation on the planet in a little more than 100 years.

Your values are what can others do for me, not what I can do for myself or my country. Even Kennedy understood this was not right. The left has strayed so far from where they were at in those days.

You value poor decision making and passing the costs derived from poor decision making off onto everyone else, which thus lessens the disincentive for individuals to make poor decisions. You don't even care or perhaps see how the policies you believe in do what I say, i.e. encourage poor decisions by individuals.

Why the f' are 70% of black babies in this country born out of wedlock ... why do almost 50 percent of black males drop out of high school ... it is precisely because of folks like you and your beliefs and the policies you support. Keep individual expectations low ... the democrat way.

Well there's a couple minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Tell you what - bitchin' on a public forum really makes a difference in "your" America, doesn't it? That's all you idiots do - rather, know how to do. Have you lost any of your precious freedoms yet - that answer would be NO. You are a minority, not a majority - and you know what the real pisser is? The next election won't be any better than the last one for you idiots. That, in a nutshell is the real root cause of your anger. Complain to your party, we already know your problem - in the mean time, stop playing on the internet on company time and get back to work.

No, I do think you got at least one thing out of it. You wonít be so foolish to refer to our system of government as a democracy, I trust Ö at least around me.

What do you do on here most days, but not b1tch on a public forum? You do it far more than me, Mr. Pot calling the kettle black.
milwaukee69 wrote:

You were the one whining about how unfair it was that we did not lose our freedoms? You make issue of it, say we should lose a freedom, then when I disagree with you, your response is to come back and essentially tell me to shuddup because the law wasnít passed. Thatís not a very good approach, if you ask me.

Why should I complain to the republican party (it's not my party ... I'm independent) other than gay marriage and environmental issues and perhaps a few other issues, I mostly agree with their platform.

I have no doubt as we continue to decline due to democrat policies ... the pendulum will switch back. It may take some time, but it will happen. The more you do for people, the less they will do for themselves. This doesn't make us stronger, but weaker.

Are you really that dumb that you donít know the difference? I mean, Ferr, we disagree about a lot of things, but Iím shocked that you donít know the difference:

A republic is ruled by law Ö in our case the constitution. A democracy is ruled by a majority vote, which may be direct or representative.

Also, the playful founders purposefully put the words "...shall not be infringed..." in the 2A to see which idiots would interpret that to mean; "2nd place finishers can take over the government via violence if so inclined, whenever they want."
Not since The Bible (various authors) has anything written document been so vague though, Crain and Tally Ho sure are trying on Offbeat.
The people who tend to resort to violence and disruption of peopleís lives when they donít get their way tend to be democrats. Letís look to the riots throughout history, the occupy movement, the shyte storm in WI over limiting collective bargaining rights for government workers, the Chicago teachers union.
