Man tracks down abandoned baby he saved - in 1955

Mar 3, 2014 Full story: STAR 101.9 26

Every time you read about an abandoned newborn and think, "what kind of depraved human being would do that?", you're having exactly the same thought 14-year-old Dave Hickman did on Sept.

You don't necessarily know if you've had an issue (even if it were serious you might never be aware.)
It is also possible, as I said, that many of the things I consider to be issues would not concern someone else, including you, such as excessive tracking of all your online movements after visiting a particular, creepy site.
Not likely. I'm not your average user. I am a domain administrator and I'm pretty much in the know. Does that make me 100% in the know 100% of the time? Of course not, but even NASA has been hacked by 15 year olds.

Nope, I'm pretty confidant in my abilities and am very aware of what is going on inside my system.

I'm still with you there I hate 8.1 also ... but I don't have it downloaded
Windows Defender for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 provides built-in protection against malware. You can't use Microsoft Security Essentials with Windows 8.1, but you don't need to—Windows Defender is already included and ready to go. But if you’re looking to protect a PC with an older version of Windows, you can use Microsoft Security Essentials to help guard against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It provides free* real-time protection for your home or small business PCs.
but don't tell me , please and no need for spybot just a waste of p/c time & space ..... browser is a go between internet .. so it is a net prob
You're all wet. Defender and MSE are essentially the same thing and have been used interchangeably across platforms ever since the first version of Defender.

As for Spybot, it picks up stuff MSE doesn't and vice versa. Only a fool would put all their eggs into one security basket.

to leave a newborn baby where it can't have a chance to be discovered.

Kudos to the 14 yr old for saving a life.
