You were going on about high capacity magazines. The high capacity magazines jammed in the Aurora, Newtown and Phoenix shootings. Pay you? Sure, Iíll play you a compliment. Moron.

It all depends what state you live in. Obtaining one and registering it legally are two very different topics.
Twenty-five states have no further restrictions on civilian ownership of machine guns (some require registration with the state) than what is required by federal law. Other states have either placed further restrictions or outlawed operable machine guns to civilians entirely. Since the Firearms Owners' Protection Act of May 19, 1986, ownership of newly manufactured machine guns has been prohibited to civilians. Machine guns which were manufactured prior to the Act's passage are regulated under the National Firearms Act, but those manufactured after the ban cannot ordinarily be sold to or owned by civilians.

But of course you already knew this.
Did I not say I can easily obtain one? Did I not prove theyíre still available in this country?

Yes, of course I knew some states ban them.

Compression problems Mikey? Who said anything about making a Ruger 10/22 look like an assault weapon?

Full automatics arenít banned. I can easily obtain one. It just takes a while for the paperwork to be processed. Again, youíre clueless on firearms.
Hereís just one example of one for sale http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp...
Would a ban on semi-automatic weapons be effective? Would you also ban a Ruger 10/22? Thinking it was an assault weapon?
The problem isnít legally owned firearms by law abiding citizens. The problem is criminals.

<quoted text>Ok, I'll play.

Considering that there is legislation out there that bans fully automatic weapons, let's ban semi-auto weapons.

How's that?
So then what's next? Ban revolvers and lever actions? When does it stop?

Now, supply your proof for these statements.
Do you know either of us? I don't know eternal cynic, but I would bet his point about the Ruger 10/22 is that it's function is identical to many firearms listed on the "assault weapons" list. Including the fact high capacity magazines are available for it.
I don't own any video games. I've never played paintball, although I would like to.
Background checks are pretty strait forward when you are law abiding snd sane. How would you do on a background check?

So full off assumption. Iíve never pointed one of my guns at another human and hope never to do so. Youíre just one of those morons unable to realize law abiding citizens with firearms arenít the problem. Those who break the law are. Keep living your life in fear. Meanwhile, Iíll head to the range this weekend to have a bit of fun.

Gee, what will I shoot this weekend? With more than 100 to choose from itís a difficult decision. Just for you, maybe Iíll dust off my AK-47 and AR-15.

You would be correct, I said nothing along the lines of changing the look of a 10/22. One fool wanted to ban all semi-automatic weapons. I said would you also ban the Ruger 10/11 thinking it was an assault weapon. I was hoping the fool would bite.

A little .22 labeled and assault weapon would be slightly humorous. Funny though, I do own one of these http://www.impactguns.com/gsg-german-sport-ak... not all synthetic, I prefer furniture. Using the 1994 political definition it is indeed an assault weapon despite itís nothing more than a great little plinker.

I have seen the 22LR version of an AR. Never have seen one of these until now. I see utility in both from a repetition and feel aspect. If the weight is similar to its bigger brother, it's a must have from a cost of practice/shooting aspect.

Funny thing, it would meet the requirements to be labeled an assault weapon under the 1994 ban.
