I said remember when stores were closed on SUNDAY , you said nation......blue laws are a state's rights
INFO:North Dakota has one of the US's toughest blue laws: stores must be closed from midnight to noon on Sundays. This was changed in 1991, before which all sales were prohibited for the entire day.
before which all sales were prohibited for the entire day
just in case you repeat classes.........
before which all sales were prohibited for the entire day
before you ask the day means Sunday
Youíve stated the following

remember at one time you couldn't even shop on a Sunday
tallyho wrote:
blue laws defined .........
A blue law is a type of law designed to enforce religious standards, particularly the observance of a day of worship or rest. In the US, most blue laws have been repealed, declared unconstitutional, or are simply unenforced; though prohibitions on the sale of alcoholic beverages or prohibitions of almost all commerce on Sundays are still enforced in many areas. Blue laws often prohibit an activity only during certain hours and there are usually exceptions to the prohibition of commerce, like grocery and drug stores. In some places, blue laws may be enforced due to religious principles, but others are retained as a matter of tradition or out of convenience.
Your first statement made no mention of blue laws, just the result. Did you not know they were called blue laws?

States do not have rights, certainly no right to enact blue laws. Blue laws are a violation of the First Amendment.

ooooooops going too fast the DC law

Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as Washington, "the District", or simply D.C., is the capital of the United States. On July 16, 1790, the Residence Act approved the creation of a capital district located along the Potomac River on the country's East Coast. As permitted by the U.S. Constitution, the District is under the exclusive jurisdiction of the United States Congress and is therefore not a part of any U.S. state.

so if it is a right why can't a felon get a FFL
A Federal Firearms License (FFL) that is federal issued
and the USA Constitution is a federal document of the land ..
so you tell me if the 2nd is a right why can't a felon get a ffl
let alone a state permit ????????
It is possible for a felon to obtain an FFL. A convicted felon can have their rights restored. Itís rare but it does happen.

The Second Amendment is indeed a right. Collectively what are the first ten amendments called?

Do you believe holding an FFL would permit someone to carry concealed?

Do you understand what an FFL allows?

Sounds like the description of a person who constantly feels the need to REPORT posts simply because he doesn't agree with it, or can't refute it.

Convicted felons lose their rights as part of their sentence. In many cases, they retain their rights upon release, or earn them back over time.

Wrong again. You really donít know how our legal system works.

The ramifications of the decision goes well beyond Chicago. Do you know the meaning of legal precedent?

I'm thinking tallyho may be one of the folks at topix. That would explain why they haven't booted his whinyass already.
