Today was the 4th straight day in the 80's, partly cloudy - an absolutely beautiful day! Cold front on the way is going to push the temp down to a 'chilly' 60 degrees.

Be careful what you wish for, Mo! LOL
We had a high of 42 and sunny today. First dry sunny day in a week, but soggy. All the snow is gone. Clouds were moving in by sunset. Rain beginning overnight, rain/snow mix tomorrow.
Got outside for awhile today.

I'm with you mo res. We moved to Tennessee 20+ years ago with the promise that "it snows all the time." What a lie! We had "the blizzard of 93." Since then, it has pretty much been flurries. I moved here from Florida with promises of snow. I've been ripped off!

I moved to SW MO from Michigan to get away from the snow. With the exception of the first winter we were here, we've succeeded nicely. After growing up with nasty winters, and living with them over 50 years, I'm only too happy to have left them behind.

Oh, it snows here.....maybe once or twice a year. And it's melted within a day or two. If this is what they call winter here, then I'm a happy camper. I still laugh when they close schools when snow is merely forecast. They haven't seen a real snowstorm, or a real winter. LOL

I understand completely. I was born in Syracuse, New York. My family moved to Florida when I was 4-years-old.

Now I live in Tennessee. When I tell my cousins, still in Syracuse, that we got two-inches of snow they laugh, as though I were a guy bragging about a two-inch pecker! On the other hand, I want my snow! Just 3-6 inches (like any woman) and I only want it to last about a week (also like a woman!).

The first winter we were here, we got l7 inches on Christmas Eve. Now THAT'S a snowstorm! But it was gone by New Years. If we'd gotten that much in Detroit, it would still be sittin' there come March! LOL We were actually snowed in for the 4 days the snow sat on the ground. It snowed 4 more times that winter. And the natives were moaning "It's the worst winter we've had in over 11 years!" If that's the worst they've had in 11 years, then bring it on, baby!!

BTW, I'd like a bit more than 3-6 inches, and I don't mean snow. <weg>

Just for the record:
Knoxville, TN
Time: 2:30 a.m., December 13
Temperature: 61

I'm here to tell ya, this just ain't normal. I grew up in Panma City, Florida, and 61 degrees in the middle of December wasn't normal, even for Florida!

We moved here in 1983 from California.
We are about 120 miles East of Branson.
I have only seen a couple of Real snows here since we moved here. I look forward to a real snow for a change.

If you don't like the weather in MO, just wait an hour and it'll change.
