The rule states:

When a sentence contains two independent clauses but share a common subject, no comma is used.

Example 1:

Bob hid the candy bar and he ate it later.

Example 2:

Fabricatedcatowner refuses to admit he's wrong, so I'm afraid he's an idiot.

Show me a link that proves you are right. I suspect that it is your own new made up rule to save face. There was nothing about a common subject being cited as an exception in the link you posted.

This is copied from the link you cited:

5) USE A COMMA Between Two Independent Clauses Separated by One of the "Fan Boys" (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so)

Note: Errors involving this rule of comma usage are the most common of all comma errors. Remember this one rule, and you most likely can eliminate some comma errors from your writing!

Examples

He graduated from college with honors, and he was hired by IBM immediately after graduation.
She joined the health club, but she was not satisfied with the results.
He studied all night, for the instructor promised a "challenging" exam.

Did you notice that two of the examples given here have independent clauses with the same subject? So much for the claim of yours which was as follows:

[The rule states:

When a sentence contains two independent clauses but share a common subject, no comma is used.

Example 1:

Bob hid the candy bar and he ate it later.

Example 2:

Fabricatedcatowner refuses to admit he's wrong, so I'm afraid he's an idiot.]

Your first example contradicts two of the examples given by your own link you previously provided.

He is simply being disingenuous and he damned well knows it. He is just trying to save face after being dead wrong. Even the link he previously provided contradicts what he said to you.

I suppose you are right if you mean it in the context that M69 and I should have ended this battle long ago. If you are trying to single me out, then I would have to disagree most strongly.

It was on a different thread. I don't think either of us can remember for sure which one it was. As far as M69 is concerned, I do agree at least in part with him on many political issues. His overall views are somewhat more liberal tjhan my more centrist views, but we still seem to agree more than we disagree politically. It seems like a big waste that he would be more interested in kissing up to a certain click by going after me than trying to find allies that might back up what he believes in politically. I do certainly hope that my last post on the punctuation issue has put the controversy to rest once and for all. As for who is right and who is wrong, there are enough posts on it for you to read and make up your own mind on it.

Bzzzzzz. The truth detector indicates that what you said was a untrue. I never made posts #3 and #18. Only # 26 was removed of my posts. When I am signed in,#3 and #18 are still nowhere to be found and of all the missing posts, only 26 reappears.

For you grammar buffs, I edited my first full sentence and neglected to remove the article, a. It should have read: The truth detector indicates that was you said was untrue.

You didn't offend the right (or may I say wrong) ones. Do you remember the claim that the Mafia doesn't exist?

Or maybe it's because she doesn't go from thread to thread trying to insult as many people as she can. Unlike, ahem, some folks.

Your friends do a very good job trailing me from thread to thread in order to give me negative icons and to stir up trouble in general. It always amazes me how you set standards for me to follow that you and your friends have no intention of following yourself.

With few exceptions, I have no friends here. The one or two I do consider friends, I can assure you, are not the ones following you around "iconing" you. In fact, given your history of going from thread-to-thread trying to stir up trouble, I think it would be safe to say that of all of the negative icons you receive, very few of them are probably from the same person. Have a good night.
