<quoted text>May I ask why you have to be so hateful? Arctic and I were able to make peace earlier today in contrast. We both agreed the conflict was unnecessary. If I had the choice, I'd rather see peace than turmoil. This post was very quiet and tame for most of the day until you arrived to stir up trouble.
I have deliberately tried to go for the jugular like I normally do when confronted with deliberately incendiary posts. I was even able to diffuse hostilities with HRP a bit. Do we really need all this nonsense? We are both grown adults and I am not particularly anxious to turn this thread into a boxing ring. I sincerely want to warn about the possible consequences of cyberbullying which is why I concentrated more on posting links than dealing with petty differences with others. We can choose to make Offbeat either an oasis or a hell hole. I'd rather opt for the former than the latter.
I'm sorry for your dementia.

And again I apologize to Trish. If I remember right she commented on giving props to a post I made... and I was suspicious in nature of its sincerity. Then I regretfully made a semi-crude comment. It wasn't nice of me, and plus it was very poor job of "stretching" the truth, ahem. I certainly hope that she took no offense, even if she remembers the comment. Hopefully not, because it wasn't noteworthy. But anyway.... sorry Trish.
Hello,
I propped you verbally because I didn't have an extra actual prop and I did so because I appreciated your words. I don't recall being offended by your response. I have been offended out here and I've come to realize some were just joking trying to lighten up an obviously tense moment. Some folks really get off of on being rude to others. It's just not my thing. I get rude when I feel others are being so to me and I actually regret later how I looked myself doing so.
Peace :)

Now I can see why I wasn't offended. Because I didn't understand your response this time, but I did understand what you were saying when I chose to PROP you the first time.

Some people go out of their way to be rude. Me, I AM a smartazz and there are only a few I've deliberately intended to be rude to, but I don't carry on and on and on like others do. I don't follow folks names around the board to harass them.

I may open a few Free Speech threads and b\tch and moan about it for a while and then I get over it and try to avoid those that don't care for me.

<quoted text>Things have settled down quite a bit as you can see. Somehow Your response to people driven to suicide may have helped. I have also tried to avoid addressing posters who post trash instead of going for the jugular vein. I do think I need to curb my tendency to jump on people with both feet when I get pissed off and try to ignore some of those things things instead. It is obvious certain leopards will never change their spots no matter how much you shame them. Tonight, things are far more peaceful here and I do thank you very much for your part in trying to heal old wounds. I hope you have a lovely evening.
I love to debate and argue...and yes, often
I too jump in with both feet.
Esp if it's about something I feel passionately
about.

I got a real wake up call when I was told that
a poster (one that I didn't know really well)
committed suicide.

He was a young gay male who was very depressed
and ended up getting attacked here (and on other
boards).

It broke my heart to think that this kid was so
despondent and alone. I've tried and
tried to contact him I have still never gotten an
answer. It is very possible that the kid Did, in
fact, kill himself.

It made me a bit more conscientious of how I speak
to ppl here. We need to remember that ppl can't
SEE us...our facial expressions..our mannerisms.
They may not realize that what is said is said in

Nice to make your acquaintance Artic.
Ah, no big deal about tally... after I caught some sleep after working that day, I realized how infantile the whole darn thing was. Truth is, whoever is calling them-self by that name, I actually have agreed with SOME of their post from time to time, when they've posted. Hope they don't read this, though :).
And again I apologize to Trish. If I remember right she commented on giving props to a post I made... and I was suspicious in nature of its sincerity. Then I regretfully made a semi-crude comment. When I first met Trish the "fur flew." LOL
She made a joke that I took as an insult and I lashed

She doesn't hold a grudge.

Here you go again with your abominable "German!" At least google it, lol! Oh, but you "know" German and Spanish, LMHO! Just because you picked up a few expletives in a language doesn't mean you have any knowledge.
And - who AM I, oh all-knowing one? Prove it, you pretentious little ignoramus! You know NOTHING! But keep telling yourself you do - it's the only thing that keeps you warm at night...
WE - the rest of us - don't have to prove you're the same vile old harley-hunni/Vernus the Furnace/Beached Baby/Dawn Smith etc. etc.
You're way too simple to disguise yourself successfully. Everyone's onto you - always the same lies, the same trash talk, the same clichés, the inability to post a link, and the uneducated way of expressing yourself (not to mention lousy spelling and grammar). All of Offbeat (with the exception of your equally idiotic friend from Florida) is LAUGHING hysterically at YOU!
Yeah, when she accused me of being you last night, I should have used her "prove it" line back at her!

Arctic, you are well liked around here because no matter your opinions that may differ, you never stooped to the levels others do.

As I stated before ... you can see those that enjoy this behavior and can't resist going in and infecting decent threads out here.

You are also one of the very few that will speak out against some of the BS and that is respectable.

Peace :)

It's true, I've offended some, but I didn't set out to do so. When I called you a dog and said you didn't have a chance to win the Nastiest Poster award out here, it was in the spirit of the game we were all playing at the time.

I am far from being one of the nastiest, but I'll admit I didn't look good while defending myself from some that truly are. Again, I'll state ... I don't follow people around like the little lowlifes out here do. I don't mention the names of those I don't care for in my posts with others.

Yeah, she sounds a bit desperate these days... "Who found me out? Who knows that I'm really harley-hunni? Well, if I just tell them to prove it that will deter everyone..."
LOL! She's a scream!
I was laughing at her lame attempt to impress fbco last night. Oh looky me, I busted Dork, she supposed to be camping! Freaking hysterical, that didn't work out too well for her. Notice how nasty she got when I posted that link? She even went to another thread talking about my boobs and then wondered how I knew she was posting there. Dimwit didn't realize that I had posted there previously and it was on my tracker. Do you think we should tell her what a tracker is?
