That's right: a new study by researchers from Purdue University showed that rather than being courteous, you are actually doing harm to a man's self-esteem and self-confidence by holding the door open for him.

You did not show skepticism about the study. You made a very specific judgement about the study.
I suggest you re read your own post, and then go find some evidence to support your premature, and now denied, conclusion.
If you're not a fundie, you have some other problem going on, as your immediate leap to using the "feminist" label yourself shows...you know, just before you accused me of labeling people.
It all adds up to: Not terribly bright.
You need to go reread my post jack-ass.
It smells like..... as in it seems it may be...... as in it's a possibility...
That's skepticism not definitive judgment.... That's throwing out the possibility based on the simple study. I never made any concrete conclusion. Nor did I actually imply a concrete conclusion. Just because you spin doctor and pick apart little pieces of what is said doesn't mean your smart. I suggest you learn how to read and develop some reading comprehension skill's that will allow you to understand context.
I may not be terribly bright according to some, but you have a mighty shadow when you stand next to me. Now go play with your pretty little puns.

This kind of smells like a study with engineered outcomes by feminists looking to make men look bad based on their own preconceived assumptions about the male ego. Just sayin'.
The above is not the post of someone who read the study "somewhere else."

And the above is not a skeptical post. It is a post which states a clear conclusion....if on no evidence.

Why don't you say what about the research design - do you know what that means?- is flawed? Since you have read the study....

You like to make things up. In fact, where your preconceptions about "feminists," or about anything else, are involved, you cannot even tell when you're just making things up. To you, made up is the same as actual information.

Get that grey matter working!
It most certainly is a skeptical post to anyone with an understanding of context and wording.
Yes I do know Research design is. It's not a grand concept to understand.
Read very carefully." THIS KIND OF SMELLS LIKE". Those words are very important here as they clearly show I am making no definitive conclusion. They imply skepticism and nothing else. Those are the words of questioning and skepticism. If I said IT IS then you would have a point. You just can't handle skepticism towards anything that agrees with what you already believe.

And you are being caught lying right now. Go learn some reading comprehension skills before you make an ass out of yourself again.

How expected that you would "pretend" to take the virtual role of a fantasized closet case.

Interesting! I've held the door open for a man, if he's holding something in his hands. I was even told thank you. Maybe some men or more weird than other men and that why little things bother them.
I'm a bit confused here.

Holding a door open just sounds like common courtesy to me.

And saying "thank you" when someone does that is also common courtesy.

If that's weird, I guess I'm posting in the right forum.

The thing that actually destroys a man's ego in this case is when you just reach the door space & then have it slammed on your head while passing through.

Definitely a case of "she hate me" @ that point.

Actually saw that in a WWF westling cage match match once involving Cyhynna & Mankind (appears to have hurt a lot).

have a nice day: Ag

an idiotic study with a flawed survey and all they could come up with in conclusion is that they "speculated" that holding a door open for a man made him feel inadequate.

that's what passes for education these days???

ouch something tells me that these "associate professors" might have had more of a future had they gone to trade school and learned diesel engine repair.
