Big money always gets all the breaks. Sawgrass Mills Mall (One of the biggest malls in the world) is in a nearby city, and when they wanted to build, the people of south Florida had to give them all kinds of tax breaks and exemptions from regulations. They didn't even have to abide by the fire codes, and we had to build the roads to the place, and upgrade the nearby roads to handle the increased traffic load. But people come from all over the world to shop there, especially from south and central America. So it seems like they could afford to pay their bills. We even pay for the ambulances and police protection there.

Hello Dear Whiperer,
Hey Christmas morning I was starting to cook my Christmas dinner and I looked out my kitchen window and two of the prettiest does I've ever seen ran through my horse pasture and jumped the fence and ran across the road to my neighbors woods. They were huge!!
Cool to see on Christmas morn, indeed! This doe in the pic was free to roam in yards of my 'hood about 4 years ago right before gun hunting season in Nov. Lingered in the 'hood for 2 weeks with 2 fawns with her. This doe would approach you like a friendly dog, sniffing your clothes, and not skittish about touching.

I sometimes see a pileated woodpecker at the woods' edge up close to my house -- always just one at time, mind you. They seem to be the most skittish woodpecker in my 'hood. The ones here typically stay farther in the woods around me, and my typical awareness is only from their drumming. New Year's morning this week, I saw 2 at the same time. Jaw-dropping, it was!

Thats the way of Ohio, we give big tax breaks to pull out of state companies in or to keep companies here.

In my hay field there are two hawks that watch when we bale hay, it's gets them very upset that we are back there but they are so beautiful to watch and very large. I live on a farm and see whitetail deer all the time on my property but the does were unexpected so close to the house so it was cool.

I say use reverse psychology on them - if you send jobs overseas, then your products will be over-taxed when they come back in. If you want the tax breaks, keep the jobs here. As for foriegn companies? Set a minimum skilled wage for all foriegn surplants - maybe then they'll think twice about hiring locals for peanuts to build their POS tin can cars.

Bottom line?

Pay your employees a decent wage so they'll go out and buy the products they make.

Let's look at the facts up close and personal, Jeff Foxworthy style. The comedian has proven with his humor and without a doubt who qualifies as a redneck. I've put together a list that leaves no doubt that Barack Obama is a socialist, and we are all in big trouble:

Many of us know this and don't like it BUT I AM SHOCKED that MANY of my co-workers and peers AND FRIENDS think socialism is the IN THING now!!!!!!! actually I am flabbergasted and sad about it at the same time. Our dearly beloved country is changing FOR THE WORSE! GOD HELP US AND OUR COUNTRY. My country is going to hell, and people I know have contributed to it. Am appalled!

To clip the Ravens' wings, yes. Live within an hour's drive from the big city Indy. Grew up around farms, did farm work in summers, an ex-wife is a farmer's daughter.

OH, Indiana has yet to mark it's first anniversary as a 'right-to-work' state.

http://www.wbez.org/news/indiana%E2%80%99s-ro...

And in the first term of the gov's leadership,'we' leased our toll road to a foreign conglomerate "forever" in a "grand bargain". The up-front money has already been expended in a highway repair program, now nominal cash flow is the operative, and there is no significant improvement in effectiveness in maintenance and management.

"Right to work" really works on the Denny Crain crowd.

I've got family in Northern Indiana. I heard that when the State Police tried to close a section of that tollway last winter during a storm, the owners over-ruled that action. What's American lives when profits are at stake?
