They knew about the one bedroom apartment because the article said it...heres a cut and paste from the article....

All 11 family members will be living in a one-bedroom apartment in East Los Angeles. Magdaleno said the living room is large and the babies are small, but she isn't sure what the family will do when they get bigger.

I know, can you just imagine being in that small a place, when one baby starts crying it'll wake all the others and then you'll have an entire chior of crying babies! Yipes, can you imagine being their next door neighbor? LOL, bet it won't be just the parents up at 2am for those morning feeding...bet the entire complex will be waked by upset and hungry babies!
BUT you know how many organizations have stepped in with this sort of publicity and have actually bought these sorts of families homes...who knows? Maybe this brood will get something similar!

Oh sometimes I catch a show or so, but yeah, thats what I was saying...with this sort of publicity I bet many organizations jump out there to give them a hand. Maybe even a local homebuilder will donate a home..that I HAVE seen before. I saw a family in houston that had 4-5 (cant remember) kids and all sorts of stores and such pitched in freebies for them, wal-mart, they got free diapers, baby formula..all sorts of neat goodies.

The doc also noticed that the other orifice was heavily used(by the husband,no doubt) and decided to add a stitch there too.
