I bet the judge said that with relish.

(At the risk of stating the obvious, no positive icons please.)

On the positive side this vandal is likely going to get along well with his sesame seed parole officer.

At least the kid has a job. Is this the judge that played with his tally whacker while a court session was going on I wonder?

Yes...it is always good to look at someone that vandalizes others property with a positive view of "at least they have a job"..

Now..if we could just get the criminal element to understand that if they make 9.50 an hour, they can only vandalize 9 dollars and fifty cents worth of others property per hour, just to stay even..!!

I believe I just passed the bar..!

Obviously a lot of law abiding, fast food workers would like to find better paying jobs, so the judge's intemperate remarks reflect poorly on him more than on the vandal in question.

Not so, the media draws attention to the adjective when in fact the judge was using the expression as a verb, directed at the irresponsibility of the 'loser' in this case to step up.

Purple Girl, you're not making sense again.

What adjective? What verb?

The judge clearly implied - unwisely - that no one with a fast food job has a real job. That's what the judge said. You don't have to make it complicated the way your synapses are complicated by incessant traffic jams and honking.

There must be some kind of vernacular vortex in PA..both yourself and Sara seem completely lost..perhaps common core is a good thing for the Quaker State.

Okay Birther, you explain why people with fast food jobs do not have real jobs.

Since that's what the judge clearly said: That vandal's fast food job is not a real job, apparently.

The judge's remark did not exclude every other fast food worker who is not a vandal - they still have fast food jobs. Why don't they have real jobs?

Explain it, kook.

If the judge recommendation resulted in a real job, the Judge's neighbourhood will end up looking like a warzone within the week after.

be interesting to see his comments in that case...

Have a nice day: Ag

Wow!! For a judge that is rather arrogant. I didn't know high paying jobs were right around the corner.

I am sure that 10% unemployment factor means nothing.

I don't chase down insane, unspecified horsesht. It doesn't need to be not clever riddle or scavenger hunt.

The explanation as to why a fast food job should be uniformly denigrated in that way - not a real job - is...?

Of course we understand many non vandals might prefer to have better paying employment; that is the a given. That is what raises questions about this judge's temperament.

Agree on the arrogant part. If the fast food guys find out what he looks like, he'll get extra pickle on his Mcburger.

Among other things more than likely.

I'm not Lucy, and I don't get your joke, probably because it has sarcasm in it, and I think sarcasm is a waste of time.

What type of job this 21 year old young man has is irrelevant, as long as he pays his fine on time is the important thing.

Me thinks that not paying his fine on time was the reason for the judges comment..or do you also consider subtle to be a waste of time ?
