I am on your side here and you don't even know it. All that abiogenesis is is life arising from nonlife. It does not matter if it was natural, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Russells' Magic Teapot or various other deities.
I agree that the best explanation is that of natural causes, and so do the writers of the definition. But please note, they did not rule out the ridiculous.
