Why do people insist on this thread of labelling people racist as though that means anything.

I say that it does not mean anything because Darwinism as been used to espouse racist views but also so as the bible.

I'm an atheist and one of the best friends I have is a christian yet he does not try to convince me of gods existance and I don't try to convince him he doesn't exist. We simply respect each others views.

Debate is healthy but the insults prove nothing other than the lack of intelligence of those making them.

Well according to what the Bible reveals, yes. To understand the Bible from a skeptic's view point as your's will never allow you to understand it at all. Trying to understand something while having a negative view of it usually doesn't happen.
If you want to understand the Bible, you should at least pretend you believe in it as you read it to give you an idea of what believers believe of it. Just saying.
One more major load of crap.

You seem to overlook that a great many of us DID believe in the bible. Raised in religious homes. Some of us - myself included - even went to religious schools. It was the bible itself (with a little help from it's 'friends') that convinced us that much of it was sheer baloney.

"You don't understand it" is the oldest, whiniest and absurdly useless defense of the thumpers. We understand it all too well.

Just saying.

It's said this earth was once a ball of molten lava. Why don't you show evidence existing today that proves it? Should be easy. While you're at it, show five pieces of evidence that proves a global flood that can't be proven to have taken place didn't take place. Waiting....
Why don't you read a book? Or learn to use Google? Or Wikipedia?

I've already given posted the Atacama. No reaction.

When I hear from narrow shut minds like your's, I remember when material such as FACT, measurement, observation and education were used to prove nothing could exist without sunlight, that nothing could exist in superheated water, that ancient human species never cross breeded. That climate and geological changes caused the dinosaur extinction etc.
No facts exist to prove a global flood never happened. A simple truth to state. Just saying.
Are you just lying or just ignorant? There is plenty of evidence that it never happened. Counter my last one and we'll go on from there.

WTF?

Contemplate if you had any idea of what you are talking about. Do you have even the faintest idea of the physics involved in such a scenario?

No, I expect not.

You're a perfect example for why science is so slow in it's advancements. If something can't be beheld by any of the human senses, then there's no reason to investigate it's possible existence. And a shut mind views nothing. But an open mind is the reason theories become fact.
Sez the loony who just proposed flattening out the surface of the earth to permit his imaginary flood.

In the earth on every continent is a fine layer from the last asteroid that hit to the east of South America. That layer existed when dinosaurs were still walking the earth. Geologists have been analyzing the layers of the earth intently for the last 60 years and 99% of all those people analyzing the earth's layers never saw it because they weren't looking for it because they didn't know it existed. Yet it did exist. And they never saw it.

Don't be stupid.(If that's possible} They saw it. It took a while before they realized the significance of it.

[QUOTE who="No Surprise"]I never said a global flood took place but I have an open mind for possibilities for what might exist that hasn't been realized yet.

Got a clue for you. Floods produce lakes/seas/oceans. They don't appear without flooding. Is there evidence for this flooding process right below each lake/sea/ocean bed floor level? It should be there by your logic.
I've got a clue for you, bub. I'm in Florida. I can show you lake after lake that was not caused by floods. Ever hear of sink holes?

Absolutely not except by extreme idealisms. If a small portion of a seafloor can be pushed up undisturbed to be exposed above surface without incinerating all local sea and nearby land life then who's to say great areas of sea/ocean floor couldn't be raised by the same method of movement? You of course would say it can't be done I understand. But it was done in a small sample and the catastrophes you attached to a large one weren't attached to the small one. So possibilities do exist.
What in the hell is wrong with you??? Do you actually think one event in Pakistan is equivalent to the same thing happening world wide?

The possibility absolutely does NOT exist.

It has been investigated. It has been rejected.

Have you forgotten that the flood was once widely accepted as true until it was realized it to be impossible?

The only do-nothing here is you in regards to actual science.

Ahhh no. The processes you speak of weren't known about by the scientists you claim knew of them. If they had known about them the obvious would have been discovered at a much earlier date, not a later date. The geological layer in Mediterranean areas from a supervolcano is plain to see now by scientists because they recognize what to look for now. That layer wasn't seen/recognized previously because they weren't looking for it though they saw evidence for the explosion of a supervolcano.
And stating I know more than what professional geologists know was quite childish of you. Nice one :)
Yet you have repeatedly disparaged geologists, arrogant one.

lol.....really? Where did you get that crap? Where did you read a global flood would cause the loss of all life? An extremist, that's where you got that crap from.
I'll give you this exception to prove your crap point. If you can show proof that if the world flooded itself every single inch would have to be superheated beyond any known measure to kill all life you have grounds for your point.
But you have no point. Volcanic action not resulting in great heat can and has pushed ocean/sea floors to sea levels without killing all existing life. Then you have to deal with the fact that mud/silt itself sustains life in seawater and freshwater in cold and super heated water environments. Just saying.
CLUELESS!

I quit reading with the above. I would say are you fricking nuts but of course you are. Science has never ever worked by predictions. Where in the *ell did you come up with that BS? If science worked by predictions it would never advance because predictions are made without doing any research, you know like 'looking' for something to substantiate a theory you have? A prediction is a thought said as a statement of something that will take place in the future. Science is based on what has already taken place in the past so to prove a theory of what is thought to have taken place or is taking place.
Science is an idea and than comes observations, questions, inspections, analyzations, testing and researching etc to prove or disprove that idea.
lol...and you claim I don't know how science works...lol...to funny dude.
Science doesn't make predictions, huh? I'll tell you what, genius. You need to shut up because every post you make exposes your massive ignorance even further.

No, you do not know how science works. You just think you do. Next you'll be telling us how your studies of astrology qualifies you.

Another poster suggested stationary buildings should be found.
There were millions of native American Indians in just North America for hundreds to thousands to tens of thousands of years. Why aren't we finding in the least hundreds of thousands of campsites with garbage and such evidence from the east coast to the west coast as you stated should have been found by a mass exodus of people living/moving about in a wilderness for just 40 years?
It's only been close to a century since Indians almost stopped having a nomadic life in North America moving here and there with seasons and the movement of animals like the buffalo. The topsoil should be littered with hundreds of thousands of spots where the native Indians had lived before moving on. The evidence should be so overwhelming it wouldn't even be exciting to find such a spot.
I see. So you don't know crap about history or archeology either. Truly, no surprse.

If you come to Florida, look me up. I'll take you out to a few of the hundreds of archeology sites in my area.

According to what's in the Bible, it's God instituted a thing called "free will" when it came to choosing to obey and or disobey. According to that interpretation, those obeying that God would thus copy previously written works in a 'more' correct fashion than a 'more' incorrect fashion.
So assuming this God would 'force' everything to come to be (as you state concerning his written words) in a specific manner, there would be no need to tell anyone to obey him.
Instead we would have stories of a God that revealed they had forced everything to be as it is and that's all we needed to know. All of this talk of right and wrong, good and evil would logically have been a waste of time.
If this God had been that controlling, life would have logically been so different. No churches, no religions, no laws, no right no wrong. We would be born and we would do as genetically predisposed without incident and free of yin and yang influences. We would have a predisposed nature to know what to do and when to do it when the time came for it to happen be it mating or building a home.
Just an opinion though :)
Not a controlling god? You mean the guy who punished all of humanity for the screw up of a couple of children in a garden, did the fire and brimstone thing, turned somebody else to salt, killed the first born, set down rules for slaves, flooded the planet (according to you), etc, etc, etc.

Seems he's controlling enough to get in our faces whenever we don't toe the line.
