Heck you could do the same with atheists and their population numbers are much less than Christians so "too many" is a relative figure, is it not?

Reality points to change over time:

http://www.topix.com/forum/news/evolution/T9Q...

You can't escape it. You can't deal with it. It's simply a reality which you have to deal with.

Or just ignore for the sake of your faith.(shrug)

So the claim goes. God(s) or no God(s), it/they used evolution. Or God is a liar. Or God does not exist. Or God is not God.

I'm open to each and every one of those possibilities.(shrug)

Of course. However your side has never been able to DEMONSTRATE "specific design". We know this because we've been asking them for 20 years.

Or 2,000 depending on how you look at it.

Apparently finding "scientific evidence" of invisible Jews magically poofing things into existence is not quite so simple after all...

Correction, in this case the proper term is "shitload".
In regards to atheism and morality, the Barna Group found that atheists/agnostics in America were more likely, than theists in America, to look upon the following behaviors as morally acceptable: illegal drug use; excessive drinking; sexual relationships outside of marriage; abortion; cohabitating with someone of opposite sex outside of marriage; obscene language; gambling; pornography and obscene sexual behavior, and engaging in homosexuality/bisexuality.

Yes, but that's because we cannot give the same label to the same species otherwise there would be too much confusion. However a bird's greatx10000000 father was a dinosaur.

Feb. 10, 2010 — A new study just published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences provides yet more evidence that birds did not descend from ground-dwelling theropod dinosaurs, experts say, and continues to challenge decades of accepted theories about the evolution of flight.

TJ's letter did not tell the meaning of the ultimate law for our country. LOL!
It was about the Government pushing their own religion and rules of faith on people.
If the government wouldn't have done that (just like the King did in England), TJ would never had to write the letter.
In actuality and historically, Religion and Government just don’t mix well.
In a country of free speech and free choice on religion, it's better to practice and enforce none rather than all. A public school may want little Johnny to pray before class, but what about little Timmy who would rather kneel facing East every day at 12:00? Or little Mikey' s special needs to stand and pray to Allah every morning? Not that a school is necessarily agnostic, but it's just more logical to eliminate religion altogether from school.

How would you feel about a President who fully believed in scientology? Would you trust this man's ability to make sound decisions? Many feel the same way about a President who's openly Christian.

Since you did not understand the article I will give an extreme dumbed down version for you. There is no debate that birds are the descendants of dinosaurs. The debate is which dinosaurs they are the descendants of. This article shows that the evidence is mounting for birds being descended from tree climbing dinosaurs, not ground dwelling dinosaurs.

Just pointing out that the accepted notion that birds came from dinosaurs is in dispute and the word "may" sounds like the authors are doing a bit of speculating. Just saying.

Not necessarily, that is the problem. Originally religion was government, it was not as nuts as it is today, either. What happened is that the con artists became the religious leaders when other governments formed to replace them, when they should have just been deemed obsolete and placed in their rightful place as superstition. It was the old religions, the ones often attacked and destroyed by the modern ones and called "evil" that gave us government and organized society.

So yes, if there were no religion today it would be a more peaceful world, but without religion in the past, there would be no human society and thus, no humans alive today.
