Yeah, bummer. A whack job group takes a whack job poll.
How valid is that?
Not very.
Apparently anyone that doesn't agree with you is a whack job. Are you sure your plates aren't rubbing together too tightly?

Not necessarily, that is the problem. Originally religion was government, it was not as nuts as it is today, either. What happened is that the con artists became the religious leaders when other governments formed to replace them, when they should have just been deemed obsolete and placed in their rightful place as superstition. It was the old religions, the ones often attacked and destroyed by the modern ones and called "evil" that gave us government and organized society.

So yes, if there were no religion today it would be a more peaceful world, but without religion in the past, there would be no human society and thus, no humans alive today.

That does not change that birds descended from dinosaurs. You are still attempting to state that evolution is directional, so again, you betray you know nothing of the subject that was not gleaned from creationist websites.

No, not everyone. This was obviously a biased poll. Polls are supposed to be unbiased to have any validity.

Perhaps you could link to the poll. You linked to a biased site that supposedly took the poll. Without seeing the poll I cannot really identify the flaws in it.

Put it this way, would you trust a poll proposed and taken by the Democrat party?

Common ancestor. So what's the problem?

You can quote from another source, but your implications do not agree with the source you are quoting, thus your only real source is the creationist sites.

You seem confused.

'What do the researchers conclude about bird evolution, then?“This discovery probably means that birds evolved on a parallel path alongside dinosaurs, starting that process before most dinosaur species even existed,” Ruben noted.

“That’s quite possible and is routinely found in evolution. It just seems pretty clear now that birds were evolving all along on their own and did not descend directly from the theropod dinosaurs, which lived many millions of years later,” said Quick.

The scientists believe the similarities between birds and dinosaurs show that they possibly shared a common ancestor that eventually gave rise to not only birds and dinosaurs, but also crocodilians. However, their research reported that the lung structure and physiology of dinosaurs was likely much more similar to crocodilians than to birds.

“Discovery Raises New Doubts About Dinosaur-Bird Links,”, June 9, 2009

The article states birds did not evolve from dinosaurs since birds existed before most dinosaurs.

What are your opinions on the Shroud of Turin? Have any of you researched into it, honestly? On Wikipedia, in the "Recent developments" section of the Shroud of Turin article, even some agnostics believe that the Shroud is genuine. If it's genuine, how could the face and EVERYTHING be so perfect, short of a miracle? This would be impossible to deny. You would HAVE to believe in Jesus! If such a miracle as this is possible, then so would be the other miracles, such as the Resurrection. After all, this isn't just Jesus' blood randomly splattered on a linen cloth, rather, it actually forms a FACE -- the face of Jesus Christ Himself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shroud_of_Turin
So what if the image of Jesus on the cloth is real, it doesn't prove anything. It's probably a painting and it's not old enough to be genuine but it doesn't even matter. It's one of many lies and frauds in Christianity.

We still classify their parent species as dinosaur, that's what you are failing to understand. That means birds evolved from dinosaurs no matter how you spin it. However, for you to hold to this notion you are trying to play, you still have to admit that birds evolved.

Have any considered the exaggeration of these stories?

Not since has there been such examples of events. Unless to look at nature itself.

Preaching of events described from thousands of years ago.

Perhaps these people described these events the only way one could.

One seems to put much faith in tales of things that could only be told as a story.

The only god you need is in you. Preach your scriptures all one wants but to be convinced they are of fact is far fetched.

Cling to your leather bindings and you will never find YHWH. Because he does not exist in them.

I'm so grateful I have found god. And realize the depth of his love. And the vastness of his exsistance.

Stone walls and glass will not guide you.

You only need to look within yourself.

God is the universe, god will grant you every wish, god will give you abundance.

You need to only ask. And live with eyes wide open.

In regards to atheism and morality, the Barna Group found that atheists/agnostics in America were more likely, than theists in America, to look upon the following behaviors as morally acceptable: illegal drug use; excessive drinking; sexual relationships outside of marriage; abortion; cohabitating with someone of opposite sex outside of marriage; obscene language; gambling; pornography and obscene sexual behavior, and engaging in homosexuality/bisexuality.
Bummer!
In the meantime fundies in America were more likely to support a genocide-loving invisible Jew responsible for more deaths and abortion than anyone or anything ever, slavery, rape, and shagging their sister, and calling it all "GOOD", all on the say-so of an old book which claims the Earth is flat.

Oh, and massive hypocrisy, let's not forget that.
