I pointed out the narcissism of some scientists. What 150 years out of date. Today we have "scientists" that think everyone should believe everything that comes out of thier mouths as fact.
Will, why not just cut the BS and just admit you're just whining that scientists who accept science you have theological contentions with are right and have been all along and that just annoys the heck outta you and there's nothing you can do about it? I mean it's not as if there's anybody on this thread who's doesn't know this.(shrug)

When you form an opinion about a subject, yet obviously have no clue about that subject, how much is your opinion really worth?

How can you do this when you have no idea what absolute truth is?

This statement shows you are a complete fool.
Did the Black people not like being called the "N" word?
Did Native American women like being called Squaws?
Do Gays like being called faggot?
Calling Christians apes is the same thing. Sorry people like you are so blind to that. Because a group of people decide to call humans apes does not make them correct or the absolute authority on the matter.
Call yourself what you like, and if you like the label ape then wear it proudly.
Don't be offended when others call you what you have labeled yourself.
Christians are not of the ape family like it or not. Our God created us in his image and there was no need to mutate.
Whether you think there was a NEED or not is irrelevant. You DID mutate. This is scientifically observable, every day. This is why you are not all clones who are exactly alike. Ergo, life changes. If some Christians are offended by reality then that's NOT our problem. We don't GIVE a fig. We already KNOW that fundies have been offended by reality ever since they made up their religion.

It's not a case of deliberate insult with intent to offend. It's simply us describing reality. Fundie Christians were so offended that Galileo described reality with the Earth not being at the center of the universe, so much so that they threatened to hang him.

Early in the 21st century the Catholic Church "forgave" him.

"The word "ape" when used in this way is not derogatory at all"
Why yes it is. Christians were created in our Gods image. perfect the first time no need for mutations. Call us apes is like calling our whole belief system a lie. While I know you do this also I would hope you would know that we consider that derogatory also.
"Christians are of the ape family like it or not."
That's like saying gays are faggots like it or not because the slang Derogatory word in some clicks has the definition of gays.
Like it or not Christians are not apes we are man.
And all men are apes. Women too. Yes, if this is a problem it may well be that the foundation of your entire belief system is a lie. Especially since your belief system says the Earth is a flat square circle at the center of a geocentric universe and that donkeys and lizards talk.

Offended?

Good.

"And no, it is not like saying that gays are anything but gays. Apes is a proper term for what we are. The seen derision only comes from yourself."
Wrong. You and your buddy can all call each other apes there is nothing proper about it. Do you claim it's proper because its in a science book? Well science books use to claim that the black race was inferior to the white race. Books don't make it proper.
Christians were created perfect from the start. No mutations required. We are mankind as named by God himself you name yourselves ape. Have fun with that.
Actually the book on evolution today claims that all races are either equal or extinct. YOUR book on the other hand claims that one race is superior to all other races because "there was no need to mutate".

Most depictions of Adam and Eve I've seen are white.

But books don't make it proper.(shrug)

I have many pieces of evidence.
In the case of Topix listing them would do no good. If one wishes to find the truth that is a journey his must take on his own. Not with a group.
Do you have SCIENTIFIC evidence? We'll save you the time and point out that we both know you don't. Which you then follow with by an argument for subjective opinions, which is uh, rather stupid.

This is why you're not taken seriously.

Attached find portions of the final report from the ICR “RATE” dating project on long-age radiometric dating reliability. Dr. Austin has also presented these findings to peer-reviewed non-religious meetings, with positive feedback from secular scientists.
At the end of the day, from new field data brought in from multiple sites across the western US,(that are teh same locations where past secular research was completed), the team identified a series of anomalies that puts into question currently accepted long-age isotope dates, and that challenge the current understanding on how these "clocks" are derived from radiodating techniques.
Of note is the ever present over abundance of helium in the Zircon samples. HE also has known decay (or more correctly, "escape rate") from the host rock, and reflect a far, far shorter time clock. HE escape rates are measurable in the labs, but exist in too high of quantities in the rocks to agree with the isotope parent/child 1/2 life calculations. It's real challenge that cannot be ignored, and their research point out some new and interesting possibilities of why all the radiometric processes could be in error. Other challenges are shown, e.g., the lack of concordant date information between isotope methods, ect., are reported and explained in detail.

ATHEISM IS A RELIGION as deemed by the courts.
John Calvert, a lawyer and intelligent design proponent declared:
The Seventh Judicial Circuit of the Court of Appeals of the United States held that ATHEISM IS A RELIGION. Therefore, it cannot be promoted by a public school. Currently, public schools are often unwittingly promoting atheism through a dogmatic and uncritical teaching of materialistic theories of origins.

Just go ahead and pat yourse3lf on the back again. This is like in the wizard of oz, "you dare question the geat oz?"? When we dare question "science" the answer is the same. Pointing out checks and balances and peer review. Is that why it took so long to invalidate piltdown man?
No, it was the Brits fault it took so long to invalidate Piltdown. The reason?

They AVOIDED the peer-review process. For decades.

Not sure why you think Piltdown ever was invalidated though, since you reject the science used to invalidate it.

It's not that "no-one dare" question science. It's just that no fundie has been able to come up with a scientifically valid criticism yet.(shrug)
