Amazing isn't it, Subduction Zone, how little the people who profess to have faith know of their own bible?
well if you claim to know the bible so much, then you would know that you don't enter into heaven through intellectual knowledge, but through faith.

Jesus referred to the children as the greatest in heaven...not the intellectuals.

...and I believe this is why secretly, that science rejects it so much.
Science values intellectual knowledge above all. God values purity of heart, spirit and faith.
God doesn't care what your IQ is...only whats in your heart.

God has no need for intellectuals...why would he? His knowledge is infinite.

Yes it is. Science says that the universe has no center, which would imply that the center is relative to the observer. meaning that if your standing on the earth, it is in fact moving away from the earth as it's center.

You totally missed the point of his post.

Let me ask you a question, perhaps that will help.

Why does the average atheist know more about the Bible than the average Christian?

Um, no. Evolution is not in any way dependent upon the Big Bang or black holes.

"God" explains nothing. It is a "who", not a "how". And based on no evidence. Contrary to your claims science is not dependent in any way on invisible Jewmagic, and invisible Jewmagic is totally useless to science.
Watch the phraseology "invisible Jewmagic". That phraseology is VERY reminiscent of nazi ideology. The phrase is very antisemetic.

Give it up. The earth is neither flat nor a perfect sphere. It is an ellipsoid.

The phrase is not antisemitic, it only sounds antisemitic.

There is a difference.

And it couldn't possibly be "antisemetic".

Anyway, the Semetes don't care.

Some Bible critics have claimed that Revelation 7:1 assumes a flat earth since the verse refers to angels standing at the “four corners” of the earth. Actually, the reference is to the cardinal directions: north, south, east, and west. Similar terminology is often used today when we speak of the sun's rising and setting, even though the earth, not the sun, is doing the moving. Bible writers used the “language of appearance,” just as people always have. Without it, the intended message would be awkward at best and probably not understood clearly ... http://www.christiananswers.net/q-eden/edn-c0... .. continue

No it is only close to oblate spheroid. Why would we have WGS84 ellipsoid for GPS positioning?

And your article makes all of the same mistakes that other apologetics article about the Bible and the Flat Earth claims make.

The ancient Hebrews did have a word for both a sphere and a flat round circle. They never used the word available for a sphere. They used a word that sometimes was used for a sphere. So since it is not clear then the context must be looked at. You cannot use the fact that we know the world is spherical now to shoehorn that fact into the Bible. All of the metaphors used apply to a flat Earth and not to a spherical Earth.

Hanging the sky over the Earth as a tent only makes sense with a flat Earth . Angels holding the winds at the four corners of the Earth only makes sense as a flat Earth. Now you can claim it was poetic license. That could be true. Why is the Earth always treated as if it were flat.

When the Devil showed Jesus the whole world he had to take him to some very high ground. If the Earth was not thought to be flat why did he have to do that?

So how would you tell someone the real shape of the Earth?

An Earth ellipsoid is a mathematical figure approximating the shape of the Earth, used as a reference frame for computations in geodesy, astronomy and the geosciences. Various different ellipsoids have been used as approximations.
