The Bible has been shown to have countless flaws in it.
What is the "simple truth" of the Bible?
It is definitely not a source for science.
People may have flaws in understanding, but the Holy Bible is right.

Of course we can deny that, Chaz. All that proves is that the universe is here. Nothing more.

One would assume that an all powerful all knowing 'god'... a 'god' that was supposedly able to simply "speak" everything into existence... would have been able to produce a text of "his word" that was plainly obvious to anyone who read it. Why the need for translations and interpretations of something claimed to be "innerrant"??

Then please explain - if it's so damn important - why it so difficult to understand.

My understanding is not flawed, it is that of Christians that is flawed when they deny the self contradictions in the Bible.

<quoted text> God is a spirit and therefore can not be seen physically.
But the universe and its elements are clear evidence of the existence of God.
You can not rule out or deny that.
The wind is invisible, but there is evidence of it. Air is invisible, yet there is evidence of that as well. I asked for evidence, photographic would only be flimsy evidence anyway, due to how easy it is to digitally manipulate images.

So when your book says something stupid like "bats are birds" it's not the book, it's the people reading it? That's called blaming the victim.

If you take it on faith that man evolved from an apelike creature and the first man and woman came into being many many years apart, then you have made a choice not to believe that God created Adam and Eve. Faith is very important and we choose it.

By the way, did you know that the four gospels cannot agree on 1. Who went to the tomb. 2. What time it was. 3. How many beings there were when they showed up at the tomb. 4. If the beings were angels or men. 5. Who they first saw after visiting the tomb.

You would think that the one most single important "fact" in the Bible would not have contradictory stories concerning it.

That is some "perfect" book.
The book is "perfect". It is You that is not "perfect" in fact you're far from it.
It is your attempt to find problems rather then Trying to understand what is really there for us. If you read the "perfect" book you would know that this is how Satan works and we are warned about him doing this. See the "PERFECT" book knew you would do this.
Go Figure!

One claim of creationists is that that you cannot get something from nothing yet fail to realise the same apples to their argument unless you impose magic
Thanks for showing everyone your ignorance.
