Why does the clone need the knowledge, personality, and experiences of the donor? She will have her own.

Is that about dimensions in the relativity of time?

That is what I mean. Unless some technology comes along that allows the donor personality, knowledge, and experiences to be transferred, the clone will be essentially a different person.

Despite the fact that cloning is possible, the transference of what makes a person a unique individucal is purely fiction at this point and may never be possible. Why people might want to do it if it were possible is anyones guess. Psuedo-immortality. A back-up. It could be for any reason. I say legitimize the clones as full citizens, raise them as you would any child and leave them to develop their own personalities. My opinion is biased as a member of FOTC (Friends Of The Clones), but that is what I think.

Too many people have been watching too much bad sci-fi.

A human cloning gets you one human newborn. That is all.

No reason to treat it any differently from any other...

Well that is just stupid. Why would cloned humans be treated like slaves or threaten social order? Is it because scientists haven't proven anything about the intelligence or health of a clone?
A cloned human would be created for a specific purpose. A soldier. A basketball player. A musician.

For a given purpose by someone with power.

As a slave.

Finally, a primitive brain that works, with the ability to ......think. Why do humans study other humans? For the benefit of a few........privileged, wealthy....its a game...its tilting....ready to collapse..........There are humans on this earth as evil as hell!

That's illegal, unethical, inhumane and just...wrong.

It also would LACK the "plasticity" element, and therefore would NOT be 100 percent cloned to start with, theoretically impossible, because something already alive and already in existence, even a minute old, would be an immediate evolutionary alteration...thus NO exact clone.

Back to the petri dishes...

To many galaxies to count/comprehend and still the primitive human animal talks about this guy that walked on water........WOW!!! And no, that "wow" was not a blimp on the SETI radar. The "contact" in human terms is no different than the religious beliefs of all humans.....a fantasy world!!!

Cybele, what is your point in saying that animals of other species can't clone themselves?
That we have unique gifts, and therefore are God's chosen species, and therefore must have been created rather than evolved?
We have heard that line before.
Other species have unique gifts, too.
Cheetahs probably feel sorry for us because we can't swim as fast as they can.
Elephants probably feel sorry for us because we can't carry heavy logs with our noses.
Bombadier beetles probably feel sorry for us because we can't excrete toxins in an enemy's face.

No. I'm asking for evidence because I've never heard of any animal species that can clone itself other than single cell organisms through asexual reproduction. And now animal cloning has become synonymous to asexual propagation. Is human cloning considered an asexual reproduction?

My point is cloning is a process that humans invented with the use of technology. So how can animals like cows or sheep use this process naturally? Impossible.

Where are you going with your statement about animals? Did I ever mention anything that suggests that animals are inferior to humans?

Then we should NOT clone humans. Many attempts in cloning result in failures and deformity, which is why it makes it unethical. No human cloning produced viable pregnancies. They lead to miscarriages. Considering the risks involved, why would one choose this method of reproduction?

Before we even think what a cloned human can do in our society, a soldier or athlete, we should first study how to perfect the cloning process.

You're mentality is influenced by sci-fi movies.

. WHY would ANYONE want to CLONE anything? It's like creating ARTIFICIAL Flavors from the Original NATURAL Flavor?? The taste is NEVER exactly the same.. THERE is a slight difference.. BUT I just can't put my finger on it. That's WHY we were created by the Master Creator himself..to REPRODUCE!! Reminds me of the movie.. The Boys From Brazil..create a Master Race..FREAKIN' SCARY!!

What if cloning is the future? Do you think in vitro is unethical? I don't see the difference other than the methods used.

I can't figure out why people just can't tell the difference between fiction and reality still. It's scary.
