ahhh..so you would twist the meaning...very devilish of you.. Is it not?lol
Of course! Anyone who merely disagrees with the Almighty YOU "must" be "twisting" things, for you are nothing but a pure and good "true" Christian.

And presumably accept the Word Of God that the Earth is flat, correct?

After all, you wouldn't TWIST scripture to suit your convenience would you?

Victims of science? So you would blame a hammer and not the person who wields it? Good stuff. That absolves all evolutionists of anything then!

Actually we are. Humans. Although humans have many characteristics, but then so do most other animals.

not gonna argue over a foolish technicality. Can you honestly say you didn't comprehend the meaning of it?
That's just it, there is no meaning behind "that's not a true ..." whatever you want to fill in unless you can assert, with solid and verifiable evidence, what "true" is. Just claiming it's not a "true" whatever because you disagree with it, or don't like it, doesn't cut it, that's called an excuse, or better, the no true Scotsman fallacy.

I am not the one claiming it's based on reality, I am asking that since you think it's reality, you lied when you stated your god would never command killing. You are a liar ... or a troll, starting to think you're a troll now.
apparently you just think all the killing in the bible is real...what's up with that? Is it not true?

Your understanding of God leaves much to be desired....but if you wish an answer on a layman level...
Your understanding of God is no better than anyone else's. You don't know any more about God than anyone else does. You are not more special than anyone else. You are not the world's greatest Biblical scholar. Of course you COULD claim that God gave you a happy after a personal visitation to your room but bear in mind that even most Christians would probably call BS.
xxxooxxx wrote:
"Thou shall not kill"...was God's commandment...God has already answered your question before you asked.
Like I said, tell it to the Amalekites. There are also numerous laws in Leviticus if I recall EXPLICITLY calling for the execution of those who commit various alleged misdeeds.

Besides thou shalt not kill was never meant to be taken literally. The punishment for violating most of the laws back then was to be stoned to death by a mob.
If the commandment...'thou shalt not kill' is not meant to be taken literally, does that mean all the other commandments are not to be taken literally???

Would this also filter down to perhaps mean the other stories are just parables and allegory...no flood, no Adam and Eve, no Exodus, etc, etc.???

Unfortunately a valid meaningful definition has yet to be presented, other than simply an object of worship. That contributes to the reason why God(s) are not accepted by everyone objectively.

Don't you know how many millions of rat species scientists have victimized? What kind of monkey business is that? Some here thinks Christians are killers. With that logic, ITs should be locked up for killing computer bugs as well.

Of course patterns are everywhere. If there was one creator he would naturally use a similar pattern for all his works.
Not necessarily. It is oft claimed that similarities in nature are evidence of (a) God using "similar design" principles. When in reality that approach is done for only two reasons: saving on time and/or resources. Something which an allegedly immortal all-powerful entity already has an infinite supply of. Hence such constraints would be unnecessary.
