This post is for anyone that wants to give tribute to a loved one (family, friend, pet) and share their grief or memories. Our loved ones live on in our memories. We can express our feelings here. Life is full of tears and humor. Many people can only express themselves through humor. Please do not take offense if that happens. This thread should not be used as a way to attack those that post here. Please try to ignore posters that bother you. Unless they use your loved one as a weapon. Then find me and I will report them to Topix.
Pixie Vampiress and Barbie brought up the idea for this place. I just started the thread.
May those that post her find Peace in their Hearts.

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel “not good enoughâ€?
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction, oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless, and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an Angel, fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of an Angel, far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

Who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows, only time?
And who can say if your love grows,
As your hearth chose, only time?

Who can say why your heart sights,
As your live flies, only time?
And who can say why your heart cries
when your love lies, only time?

Who can say when the roads meet,
That love might be ,in your heart?
and who can say when the day sleeps,
and the night keeps all your heart?
Night keeps all your heart.....

Who can say if your love groves,
As your heart chose, only time?
And who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time?

Who knows? Only time
Who knows? Only time

I did my best to preserve the memories of my loved ones through genealogy and by assisting their descendants who keep the genetic record alive. It is sad that some lines came to an end. There is nothing more that I can do, there is nothing else except genetics and memory. I'm done.

It sounds silly, but I'd like to take a moment to remember my Dooby Dog. I only had him for about a year. I feel so guilty, because I could have prevented his death, and he'd still be here by my side.

Always get your dogs vaccinated for parvo. I didn't know what it was until it was too late. I had him vaccinated for everything else, but no one told me about parvo. It's not something you want to mess with. Once they get it, there's pretty much no hope.

Anyways, it's been 3 years, and I still miss my Doobs. He was the best.

Nothing silly about our "little" friends. And thank you for letting people know about Parvo.

If Dooby's death can help someone else save their dog, at least something good came from it. Parvo is horrible to watch a dog go through.

Jayne,
Thanx to YOU, Pixie V.. and Barbee..
for a fine thread.. Well Done...

Allof us, in life, as it goes on daily have our 'ups and downs' with friends and family,
any other way wouldn' be normal.
but uat the heart of it, we love ouir family and friends dearly,
sometimes when they have to 'move on' we see it all too clearly.

I think this song by an Irish group says it all..(for me)

Good luck with this great [and needed[[] thread.

'Friends And Foe':

''
Turning with the listless
And staying close behind
And the arms that once held you
Have receded
Over time

And the little love I had
For all my friends and foe
The little lines we've drawn between us all have
Taken hold

In the early morning walking
And the pressure in the night
And the walls that held you with us
Have fallen
Out of sight

And the little love I had
For all my friends and foe
The little lines we've drawn between us all have
Taken hold

And the little love I had
For all the friends I know
The little time we got to share was worth it
After all

Now we work it out in silence
And the subplot to the end
And it's falling out of favour
I've seen it
Where I am

And the little love I had
For all my friends and foe
And the little lines we've drawn between us all have
Taken hold

And the little love I had
For all the friends I know
The little time we got to share was worth it
After all ''

My Grandmother died in October of 1993 just after my first child's birthday. She had lived a very difficult life. My grandfather was abusive and in a time when women didn't leave their husbands nor get divorced.....she started a life on her own. I love her and think about her almost every day. She was full of life and personality and knew her own mind. I never beat her playing cards no matter how hard I tried.........*blow a kiss*

There is an old gospel sound about a grandfather, but I can't think of the name of it.

Here is one of my favorite Randy Travis songs...though he has many I enjoy.

I never had a grandfather, but I had an uncle who filled that role in many ways...
