two I knew growing up, I lived by the mounted unit in City Park, were Ron and Anthony Cannatella, they would shake us down for pocket change saying we matched the description of suspects
we were between 6 and 10yrs old
when I was in my 20's I asked Ron if he enjoyed sticking his hands in my pockets, he just turned and walked away
betcha liked that!

I made you a 'blanket statement' thread.
Someone once said-
"As in all groups of people, some cops are liars and some aren't. Can't make blanket statements and be fair."
Can you make a 'fair' blanket statement?
(Is this feeling like DeJaVu?)
I feel perfictly justified in saying "all" or "everyone" when it is the overwhelming majority involved

yes all

do you know a cop that has never turned a blind eye to the digressions of their own, I know one, Frank R., he made it through the battle of the budge became a NYC officer, arrested three partners in a row in his first month for being on the take , was made a detective and sent to the coroners office where he worked alone till he retired

Frank is a mans man and has always had my respect!

he is someone I am proud to call a friend

OK, there might be a little over representation of power hungry people in law enforcement. What a shocker.
all the more reason to continuously speak up

a few local officers openly speak about my harassment of corrupt officers, some have told me to keep up the good work in private

trust me I am not unknown here and have no problem with the fact some keep close tabs on me

I've heard that before

believe it or don't
never been arrested, convicted, or detained

have aided law enforcement on more than one occasion

just have seen too much injustice

it benefits no one

I think you'll find few reasonable people who are in favor of injustice.

I see it every day, Bex. Some a-hole, in the fast lane, going 5 miles under the speed limit, weaving back and forth and when I pass them, sure enough, their phone is in their hand! Drives me nuts! Like you, I will answer a call if it's a family member, but I keep it brief and tell them I'll call them back when I get home. Texts, however, NO WAY! I don't even look at them until I am at a dead stop. I answer them when I get home.
Stay safe people and be aware of those around you when driving. You never know who's doing what in their car.
I once was driving passed a highway weaver. I could not believe what he was doing behind the whell...he was playing his violin!!!

If you're addressing my previous post, that's a very passive-aggressive way to do so. How deliciously ironic!
