Hide it in a tiny bit of peanut butter on a teaspoon.
Or gently pull one corner of its mouth back and put it behind the back tooth, hold the dogs head back and rub its throat. |

That your pup is not interested in any food is not a good thing. When the Vet prescribed the pills, did he/she tell you what was wrong? What were the pills for, what were they supposed to cure or fix? Aside from all that, I've better luck giving medicine to a greedy pup than a reluctant one. Lol, you get his favorite treat and instead of hand feeding him, toss him a couple of bites, on the third or forth toss, have the pill inside. He will swallow it whole without a fuss. Best wishes and good luck. :-) |

Dogs will be dogs...if he seems a bit iffy on the digestion side..don't go overboard with it but cook some hamburger..good stuff, 80% or better..drain the grease...put some water in the pan and add the same amount of rice as water..cover it & let the rice fluff up...do not add any salt or spices ... only do this as long as the digestion problem is present...or you'll have created a loving life long monster..! |

The pills were for some mucus that I found in his stool when I took him for his daily walk! Usually that can mean worms, even though I couldn't see any with my eyes.....so it was for precautionary, the doctor thinking he may have some bacteria! His stool is fine now and since I last wrote, he came to me with his stuffed little frog for me to throw it for him! My goodness he's so sweet, like that..... Anyway, I just offered him some of his regular food Science Diet small bites, hard food and he ate probably about 8 or 9 pieces and that was it! He did go to his food bowl and nudged it with his nose, as to bury it...... |

Thank you! Last week, the doctor recommended that I make him some eggs and rice for 3 days, but he didn't have any interest in it at all! He's been eating fine except for today! He loves his small bites food and I haven't given him any treats, but he did eat his raw hide! |

I had a mini schnauzer years ago that wouldn't eat unless I fed her each tiny peace by hand. Don't know if she just wanted special attention or what. I would try putting some loose fried hamburger, if you have any, on top of his food, but just a sprinkle. |
