Vee...you know how I feel about New York. New Jersey too as itMore people are affected by Hurricane Sandy then we will ever know. Work was curtailed down to one hour and 45 minutes because of all the devestation. I am still waiting to hear if friends are all right. Everyone knew the seriousness of it, but no one really knew the seriousness of it. They prepared, but in their hearts and minds, no one knew. One would think that nine eleven would be more then enough for hearts to endure and now this. I wish I knew why.
was the first place I called home when I moved to the United States. We have had full coverage on Sky News over here and also
have Fox and Bloomberg...so know how devasting this storm has
been...so many lives lost, homes, and the destruction in it's wake.
But then came along a homeless man, standing there in the street in New York City in light clothing, a tee and a jacket, being interviewed as to his feeling on how it affected him. He stood up real tall, and proudly said 'New Yorkers are tough, we will bounce back, we always do'...and do you know, that homeless man who had been sleeping in a doorway during the appalling conditions, summed up a brave City in a few words.
God Bless him and all who are suffering at this dreadful time
in your country's history.
