They're right.
An assault weapon ban will not pass Congress.., no way.

I am not a member of the NRA...but it appear that perhaps I should be. 15 round magazines should be the limit..not 10. This is the same number of rounds carried by State Police...and I should be allowed the same number of rounds. A 15 round limit would also ban a number of good weapons already on the market...and not mentioned in propose "gun ban" laws.
We need a Federally issued concealed carry permit. Currently, any licensed carrier in WV is subject to arrest and imprisonment if they forget and carry their legal weapons into Maryland...for example...and make criminals of them, officially. This is not right at all. Thank you.

When I go on a long auto trip by myself, I should be entitled to carry a weapon....to protect myself against the myriad of criminals, mentally unbalanced persons, drug sellers and gangs that roam the streets of our larger cities today.
The police cannot eliminate these hoodlums and cannot arrive in time when any citizen is attacked.
We live in a very dangerous society and a very dangerous world today. Until our world regains some sanity, individual persons have a right to protect themselves...and our children have a right to armed guards in their schools. Churches, movies and all "gatherings" need to have armed guards on duty at all times. Sorry, but that is way things are today. We will be fools not to protect ourselves in any way that we can.

If you're 89 you shouldn't carry anything more than a can of ginger ale!

I can agree that the state of the nation today isn't looking good at all but I cannot agree that an answer to these issues we face get any better with guns. If anything, it actually hinders the ability to make things better. Guns are so final. You shoot and kill someone that could just be having a bad week you've just taken away their chance of redemption. They're over and done with.

Many countries get along just fine without guns by it's citizens and it's police but America is different and still not wanting to move forward as a peaceful people willingly (even though this is a "Christian nation" and Thou shalt not kill) so I say let people keep their guns and let the police keep their guns and issue only non-lethal bullets to everyone. They hurt like hell and it can buy a victim some time to make a 911 call or it will make criminals think twice about committing crimes because they can no longer kill and hope to get away with it.

Worried about bullets coming in from Mexico? Close the border completely. Oh but then you'll be asking the Gov't to stop making it's own money off the drugs that get "seized" and the payoffs they receive on the shipments that "get through".

You see, this whole guns thing is all about money and population control. We'll kill each other before we unite and revolt against the gov't and this bill getting shot down so easily especially in the wake of Newtown and Aurora is a testament to that fact.

We can have a near perfect nation if we will all unite and speak as one but they wont allow it. Wonder why we have Democrats and Republicans? Wonder why we have a multitude of religions here in America? It simply keeps people controlled and prevents people from uniting. It's genius really.

Ok, so instead of uniting as one in the name of peace we should keep our guns and it's lethal bullets and continue to allow horrific and unnecessary mass murders like Newtown and Aurora and Columbine to continue? Let's not forget all the gun related homicides that happen daily anyway here in the USA.

There is a better way and using our corrupt gov't as an excuse is poor as I don't see any group rising up to end the corruption anytime soon.

How many more innocents will have to die from guns before realization can happen?

Now are "WE" still discussing gun deaths in the USA
or have "WE" expanded that to include all the unnecessary deaths in the Armed Services 'our' government has sent our young men & women into?
Need I make a list?

In other words - our own government has caused more deaths than terrorist for less reason.

NO! I'm not un-American just "practical"!
