Depp's movie started out good then got way too corny for me.. The Dark Shadows I grew up with scared the Heebies Jeebies outta me...

Looking back, I realize how much more entertaining TV was in the 50s, 60s, 70s and early 80s. So many great comedy shows and sitcoms, Chiller Theater on an early Saturday afternoon, Jacque Cousteau, Johnny Carson show, variety shows like Donny and Marie and the Sonny and Cher Show. The old Queen For A Day game show, Let's Make A Deal, and who could forget the hilarious Gong Show. Liked the old westerns, too. Lassie, Leave It To Beaver, Father Knows Best, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, The Munsters - love them all. Thriller with host Boris Karloff, Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits. So many great films back in those days. Many more I can't think of right now.

Carol Burnett was one of my favorite.
Yes, more to choose from back in the day. I couldn't find one thing to watch last night even with more channels to surf.

How could I forget the Carol Burnett show!? Hilarious show. TV is so disappointing today. Nothing much worth watching. I think part of the reason is that all of the old TV execs and producers are retired or dead. The younger ones took over and they don't have a clue about what people like. There are different age groups and we all have are preferences and memories of old favorites. I think they should seriously take that into consideration or TV may not survive for very long.

Looking back doesn't have to be about movies. It can also be about memories of people you have met and things you did or they did.I have met many in my life and their are some really "Special" people that I'm glad to have met.
Keeping those memories close to the heart makes my life sweeter.
