* LOCATIONS... MOHAWK AND SCHOHARIE VALLEYS... EASTERN CATSKILLS... GREATER CAPITAL REGION... MID HUDSON VALLEY... NORTHERN AND CENTRAL TACONICS... SOUTHERN VERMONT AND THE BERKSHIRES.
* HAZARD TYPES... HEAVY SNOW AND VERY COLD WIND CHILL TEMPERATURES.
* ACCUMULATIONS... SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 6 TO 12 INCHES... LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN.
* MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATES... AROUND ONE INCH PER HOUR.

ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL... KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT... FOOD... AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS... MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES.
