Hey,... it's Big Time. Happy Holidays buddy.
;)

Anyone know what a commode flang(j) is? I've no idea how to spell it either?

I guess I could have just said flang. I'll look the next time I'm in the plumbing area, I suppose.

Dear Sharty,

I enjoy a few curse words on occasion. It at times feels as blessed as any good prayer.

When the 'F' word fits and I'm not talkin' friend. I don't throw that word around casually.

Thanks
Bigtime, I said commode and knew what that meant. You didn't mean closet right? And as for the other word I was most interested in, heck that was easy to spell.

You'll probably never guess the reason I asked after it had been mentioned to me, quite by surprise, when I was looking to deal with something in my truck.

Thanks Hillbilly **dare I look?**

Asking questions rarely makes others 'idiots' and that really is an offensive word that many don't really deserve to be called.

He probably did in fact mean "closet"......In plumbing terms a toilet can be referred to as a "water closet".

Oh I meant Water Closet as in What they are Called in the industry,

A flush toilet may be euphemistically called a lavatory, a bog (UK), a pot (US), a loo, a john, a water closet (abbreviated "W.C."), or simply "toilet". i guess I'll just call mine Idiot bolts from now on, BTW you won't find Commode bolts , they are CLOSET bolts that hold the base to the Flange, you know those half of a boiled egg looking covers that always come off,...

Interesting and thanks.

Don't you wanna know why I asked? Here, I'll tell ya anyhow.
I recently got me an old Ford pickup and it does not have cup holders.
This woman tried to tell me about this and what to do with it, but I absolutely
can't even imagine it.

Hmmmm, and dang!!! I just left a hardware store.

Yeah, I guess an upside down toilet flange screwed to the dash can be used as a cup holder.... Just make sure it's a NEW toilet flange!!!!

I actually used this flange along with a 3" pvc pipe to be the support for a large bird feeder I built.... The flange worked perfectly.
