Marriage is a sacred rite - making love to the same woman for 45 years is not what I would consider sacred though.
Wow... sad.

Depends on the woman.
But, that said, I do believe you get ONE shot at the ride called Life. It does seem a shame to limit your experience. Which is very contradictory to how we hold our expectations on relationships - that sex equals love and you shouldn't be interested if you're in a committed relationship.
Which is just pure BS and everyone knows it.
But, see, we've built this thing up so that you can't have sex outside of a committed relationship - most of us just aren't wired to handle it on either side. It's all very odd.
Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm looking for love alright - but just for 20-30 minutes at a time.

It amazes me how many people are out there who are near my age and have never been married. Many of them have kids. One the one hand I think how much simplier that would have been, on the other, I want someone who has gone through what I have gone through even if it failed. I'm only considering people who have been married.... When you see someone who is only interested in using kids to hurt or manipulating them with money, it's pretty clear that they should never have been parents. It is repulsive.
These days marriage seems like a failing institution, statically it is anyway. As to getting remarried, for me, no way. The stigma of living together has faded and it would be easier to keep finances separated IMO. Buying a house together would need a legal contract, just the way things are these days.

That's not love, that's sex. Two different things.

Well, dang. What am I supposed to do with this ring fashioned from an old PBR pull tab?

Look, my point is - for every knock out, drop dead, gorgeous Italian supermodel out there - there's a guy sick and tired of watching her naked ass run around the house.

I'm really not that insecure to think love is a cureall like some folks out there - but to each their own.

It's just not for me.

I don't necessarily have a goal to be remarried but I would like to retain the hope that might love, trust, and respect someone enough to do it again.

I do love Italian women...

Where was I? Oh, yeah. I gotcha. Am just saying that folks who say love = sex and vice versa are setting themselves up for disappointment.

I used to look at things that way - fortunately, that all stopped two years ago.

Once I got past the belief that the only way I could be happy is looking for a long-term relationship, I finally realized that life is way too short to share with only one person.

But like I said - it's not for everyone.

I'll bet you a beer that in a year you'll be in a long term relationship again.:D

But, until then, I envy you your freedom and shall live vicariously through your exploits.

Actually, I'm just trying to connive an added discount on one of those sex swings you sell.
