Oh, gotcha. Different conversation.
If we're talking about that sort of relations, I'd say age is irrelevant.
I'm just saying, you were so "open" about that one and this one almost, cause I read your post before, sounded like you were a little more "uptight" about the subject.

I would think give or take 10 years (i.e. 42-62) would be a decent range. Anything more or less and it may be harder to have things in common. But don't "go looking", let it just happen.....and with someone like you, it will happen.

Casual sex versus meaningful relationship. Two different things. I still think she shouldn't get hung up on age so much - in either case - although I can see her point about being too old. The difference is in long term planning: creating a relationship with a 62 year old has more ramifications than just having sex with him once.

At one point in my life I dated someone 22 years older, but I was very young........ can't imagine being with them at this point for many reasons.
I just don't want to be creepy in either direction.
Hey, when I first posted, didn't realize who I was posting to.

Good to see you here and posting more often, or maybe we have just been on different threads.

22 years is a large age gap for sure.

No matter what we do or don't do, some will not approve. You have to please yourself.

If you put a limit on the age, what if the guys is one or two years over the limit either way. My take, throw age out the window and just go do things you like to do.

Lots of times, you find the right one when you are not really looking.

My joke about findng "the right one".

Don't look for Mr. Right,(he doesn't exist), look for Mr. Good Enough.

This confuses me, but I'm a woman. I promise not to get anyone pregnant.

I AM talking about a meaningful relationship and either direction I go in there obvious possible problems and, unfortunately, the older I go sex becomes an issue. Sorry, guys. I know you think that you still have it.... but maybe you've forgotten.

Oh gosh, she's not too old. And of course if your going to have a one night wam bam ... ok.. whatever you say..
Your pulling me into serious mode. All I know that as for moi, I don't generally date or have a "burner" for younger or for men older 10 years from me. Went on a date with one and obviously he was much more experinced in many things that flew right over my head and I get it now and I laugh my A$$ off but I was 20 he was like 28 or 29 and that wasn't old it's just that mentally THEN my body was 20 but I was mentally 16.
We went to see that Cameron Diaz movie where she gets the <ahem>in her hair.. everyone was laughing and I asked him, "What happened?" He spit out his coke and couldn't stop laughing!!

ROTFLMAO I still remember his face LOL I honestly had NOOOO clue.

If I had it once I'm pretty sure I lost it along the way.

Seriously, like TL says, don't fret about age. It's a number - you KNOW us men - that number is NO INDICATION of maturity, compassion or anything else that should matter to you.

But you are older now, right? Not much someone older than you is going to teach you, I imagine. Assuming we're all of an age here, I'd say that our experiences all sort of catch up at some point.
