oh. well it did sound rather cliche. Don't you despise not saying your real thoughts...especially on a thread called 'the meaning of life'. I can just see someone who's mother and father died yesterday in a car wreck clicking on this thread to gleen some encouragement from other humans...and finding nothing.

Cliche isn't always bad. I'm sticking with giving Glory to God as the best cliche meaning of life...since in everything in life it's possible even if you have to physically die like John the Baptist did when Jesus arrived...and he wanted to.

I believe you should find your meaning within yourself before you choose to follow a meaning that belongs to someone else perspective on what they believe life is about.

WHAT THE FREAK are ya talkin' about??? The Meaning of Life is DIFFERENT for everyone. It's "How YOU Feel" about YOURSELF and YOUR purpose in Life. ASK yourself... WHY was I chosen to be born? Then go from there..

I hear you. One person runs...and it gives glory to God who created him/her. One person jumps and it gives glory to God who created him/her. One person sings, dances, writes,speaks,works,plays, eats and drinks to the Glory of God. Isn't it ironic that you cannot really shoot random people to the glory of God yet wars can be fought to the Glory of God? For instance setting slaves free...is to God's glory. Words and writing can be done to the opposite of God's Glory. Playing can be done to the opposite of God's glory. Singing can be done to the opposite of God's glory. Not everything is just okay...because it's you doing it and you deserve glory...Space for the spirit of God to speak through you to show others to keep on living is vital...Eternal life is vital.

Life lessons, it's all about life lessons.

We are never to old or too young to learn/know this.

Each time we don't learn the lessons we were put here to learn, we are presented with them again and again.

The sad part, some will never learn and really, that's just sad.......

Nope. None. Any imagining otherwise are just fooling themselves. The real take away from this is not to assume that your purpose will be revealed to you at some point - perhaps even after death. Your purpose is what you make it and the time to do it is right now.

I see your point but remember, what you are stating is a belief system and the world is full of belief systems.

We can and should not put things off that need to be done now but we can do that with a belief system that allows for a devine order to life the universe and everything!!!
