I agree. I too quit my last job years ago and did so with my head up high and moved on to greener pastures because I thought my boss's goals were not in line with mine. I didn't make any bad statements. The bosses at my new job knew all the problems my last employer had so I didn't need to bring up anything negative when they asked for the reason I left my last employment. I simply told them that their company mission and goals were more in line with mine and that my last employers mission and goals no longer were.

Reading the article and between the lines, it seems the manager was trying to keep things from going too far to the left. So my comment about sleeping in an Occupy camp might have some merit.
