??? My blueberry bushes are all harvested & in just the past few days the leaves are all turning yellow/brown...is this normal or was it from lack of watering the past few weeks (first yr bushes)???

Today it's the Cocoa Floribunda Rose, it's dark orangey, light fragrance, almost 5 ft tall and stunning.

I've become a big fan of bamboo, I know it's not flowery but it is still pretty to me.

I currently have the clumping kind, it doesn't spread, well very very slowly, in five years is has spread under five inches. There is a spot along the highway were some is way out of control. I'd like to dig some up and plant it between me and the neighbor below us, I was hoping the goats would keep it from spreading on my side. Seems they like it.

glad it's working out for you..my sister is 15 yrs older & not able to keep it under control...we both had surgery last summer so it crazy everywhere now...not in yard but both sides of house at tree line & across back fence & she cant enjoy the horses in the neighbors pasture...also deer constantly jumped the back fence & came into the backyard before the bamboo took over ...slowly but surely I will get it back in shape...=)))

I've been told it is a nightmare to cut and keep under control when it's the spreading kind. Your weather is not as dry as here either, I think that plays a big part. I understand it is related to grass and spreads by runners under ground.

We had some of the non-clumping kind. Took YEARS to get rid of. It would come up in the yard, grow 4 or 5 inches a week, we were always cutting it down with the lawnmower. Oki asked a garden guru once the best way to get rid of it, and he said napalm--then asphalt.

I like the very dark red one.

I grew blue sweet peas one year, they were very cute.
