This comment is for everyone :)
Since I consider the subjects connected I'll mention it. Genetically altered foods have changed the growing season. I do see many people that don't care for them but times have changed. Back in the 50s a farmer fed roughly 22 people or less, by today's standards they need to feed 150 in the same amount of space. I don't see how it would be possible with out altered seeds and chemical fertilizers. I'm not saying there are or aren't side effects, I just don't see a viable answer with out them to meet today's population needs.

Yes, they do work. Citronella plant is in the scented geranium family (pelegorium--I think--maybe) Those plants come in lots of different scents, and are great for making all natural potpourris....

Dig a hole approximately 4-6 inches deep.
Place a plastic (disposable) cup inside the hole.
Fill the cup about 80% full of beer.
Check daily. Empty out the slugs and refill with beer as often as needed. The slugs are attracted to the yeast and barley in the beer.

This song popped into my head :)

beer in a flat dish (any kind) but it has to be even with the ground--slightly buried--or that's the way I've always had good results.

Is amazing how healthy humans would become if they only ate what was in season.

Okay...if only I still ate corn...I would know how to pick up a pup.
Thanks for the tip!

~laughs~ But, truth be told..I don't need corn around for guys to want to shuck me. Trust me....

Maybe the apricots were not ripe yet?

As far as the ice cream and fruit go, that's killer. I used to love fruit and ice cream, the fruitier, the better.....
